Adriana | 3543 comments I'm thinking of creating a spreadsheet like I've done for the team I'm on. Idk if you would prefer it but I'll make it and we can use it or not.

I know there is a wildcard but we need to make sure to use it when there is literally no other option. I do have two books that would fit that category but obviously I will only take 1 because I'm sure everyone else wants it. Going to post my possible reads soon.

Adriana | 3543 comments https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

Let me know your e-mail so I can add you!

I wouldn't read Legacy of Blood just yet because it's a key word we might get later on.

message 10: by Adriana (last edited May 24, 2017 10:41AM) (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments Which Wildcard do you prefer so I can add it? There's a limited space.

If anyone ends up getting a BR that should probably automatically be picked so we get more points. I'm waiting until everyone posts to decide which books to read and ask for a BR.

Go ahead and put these in for me now. :) If we need to read more than one to finish each section I'm game to pick up some more.

message 12: by Adriana (last edited May 24, 2017 10:46AM) (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments I added three of mine. If when everyone checks in there isn't that much for project then we should pass on it :/

message 13: by Amanda Setasha (new)

Amanda Setasha Hall (azenakira) | 1051 comments It has to be in the title correct? What about series title?
If series title is fair game I might have 1 or 2.

message 14: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments Not the series title but it can have a subtitle like:
On Writing Well The Classic Guide to Writing Nonfiction by William Zinsser

At least that's what I've gathered from past posts on the Key Word thread.

message 15: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments Never mind it counts!!!

* Books must feature the key word in the title, series name or author name to count

This will help with the Project one...

message 16: by Amanda Setasha (new)

Amanda Setasha Hall (azenakira) | 1051 comments Awesome. I've got an hour left of work then I'll look through my list again and give you an update. :)

message 17: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments Cool (:

message 18: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments I added your e-mail to the list Amanda!

Btw do you think the spreadsheet is too simple?

message 19: by Adriana (last edited May 24, 2017 12:37PM) (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments I put points in message 3 so that we can move things around if books aren't as much points as others.
I'm guessing the only reason we would move around a book that has a lot of points is if someone hasn't chatted in a while or doesn't think they will finish the book.
Might have to change the wildcard since there is an option for thing. Will do later.

Berit Talks Books (berittalksbooks) | 4264 comments Checking in :-) I for sure have a boy and kill, I'm sure I can find others, but I'm doing medium because I am sure I'm not going to be able to use all my books, but I will do my absolute best!

message 21: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments Awesome! What books are they Berit?

Berit Talks Books (berittalksbooks) | 4264 comments I will post them when I'm not on the app, so I can link for you all :-)
Project seems hard, but I'll take a look.....

Your name is beautiful btw (:

message 25: by faith (new)

faith (lunaslovelies) | 780 comments haven't started looking yet sorry, will do so soon.
and thanks!

message 26: by faith (new)

faith (lunaslovelies) | 780 comments also, does anyone know whether two people can read the same book to complete a word?

message 27: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments They can (:

So if you want to BR with me let me know!

message 28: by faith (new)

faith (lunaslovelies) | 780 comments alright, will do. thanks!

Berit Talks Books (berittalksbooks) | 4264 comments OK this is what I can start with
Kill A Killer Plot (A Books by the Bay Mystery, #1) by Ellery Adams A Killer Collection (A Collectible Mystery, #1) by J.B. Stanley
Boy A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole The Boy Most Likely To by Huntley Fitzpatrick

message 30: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments I think someone was talking about buddy reading The Boy Most Likely To over at Team Clownfish.

message 31: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments We will fill up boy and kill when we add yours. Should we wait or should we just add them now?

Berit Talks Books (berittalksbooks) | 4264 comments I'd be up for it, and I am a fairly quick reader I can usually finish a book a day, nothing like some people around here, but as I said I have lots of other challenges going on, so as long as I can fit in books for this I will try to make it work,....

Berit Talks Books (berittalksbooks) | 4264 comments You can do whatever works, I'm good with whatever, you can leave a spot open and I can take it if needed later.....
Where this is going to be really tricky is if we get stuck without any new words, I think project is tough but you don't want to pass on the first list, but I guess we'll get a new word fairly quickly with the wildcard :-)

message 34: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments Okay, so these books you are planning to read for other challenges as well? If so, then I'll add them. You should see if I think Aly wants to BR The Boy Most Likely To.

I can be the same way. I tend to read fast when motivated.

message 35: by Adriana (last edited May 24, 2017 05:08PM) (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments The Rules - this works because of the series name for project.

message 36: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments I'm going to add the books since I know you are a fast reader. We can always move things around later.

Berit Talks Books (berittalksbooks) | 4264 comments We can use series names? Well that makes it a little bit easier, I need to subscribe to that thread, I usually don't during sign-ups because there are way too many notifications :-)

message 38: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments Yes, it says so in the rules. You can also use the author's name. One person asked if the last name Red.. something counted for the red key word and it did.

Berit Talks Books (berittalksbooks) | 4264 comments I should be pretty challenge free that first weekend and if my team gets kicked out of the amazing race, I will have a lot of book time freed up, I'm not sure how many challenges I'm going to be in, because I'm running three and I'm not doing those :-)

message 40: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments Oh no! How many are they down to?

Berit Talks Books (berittalksbooks) | 4264 comments Seven, I think, but I believe there are maybe three that can't get kicked out this week, not sure but I'm preparing for a detour tomorrow, so I'm trying to finish of books quickly before Friday.... it is a lot of fun, but it limits my decision making as to what I want to read, and you think I'd get some kind of special treatment, but no! LOL i'm glad you are in the group, we have a lot of fun, and so many fun challenges coming up, I'm excited :-)

message 42: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3543 comments Ha! Yeah, I was reading so much that I wanted more challenges. They are really fun so far. It's getting me even more competitive than I already am :D

That challenge is crazy btw. It must have taken so much preparation to create it.

message 43: by faith (new)

faith (lunaslovelies) | 780 comments sorry random question- how is everyone finding these books for the specific word? I have no idea how to get started.

Berit Talks Books (berittalksbooks) | 4264 comments How do you usually purchase or borrow your books? Just plug the word into the search engine and go through what comes out.... three of my books I already have in my electronic library, and the other one I've been wanting to read :-) :-)

message 45: by faith (new)

faith (lunaslovelies) | 780 comments ohhh. i usually check books out from the library, so I'll just search in there. thanks!

I am fine with buddy reading :)

Berit Talks Books (berittalksbooks) | 4264 comments I am reading it when is good for you, it would be ideal if it was June 2 or third for me :-)

You can also check on your online library search to make things easier.

It's Berit's book that she's reading (:

Berit Talks Books (berittalksbooks) | 4264 comments Yes much easier to do it electronically rather than walking through the library :-)
