Hello All!

I thought we could share the company or designer that did your book covers. Did you like them? Would you recommend them? Or if you did your book covers yourself, what program(s) did you use?

Right now, since I'm on a budget as a stay-at-home mom, I did my own book covers and touched up my illustrations with paintnet.net. It is a free tool. I also downloaded the free tool GIMP, but haven't figured out how to use it yet. I can tell you that I want to have my book covers redone professionally in the future, but paintnet.net was a good start.

Please share!

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 69 comments Some of my book covers were done for me by my Dad, some were done by a very good friend who happens to be good at art and amazing with computers, and the rest were done by an artist who I've come to consider a friend over the past few years. The artist is Jacob Blackmon, and you can find him via his Deviant Art page, which is here: http://prodigyduck.deviantart.com/

Jan Hurst-Nicholson (janhurst-nicholson) | 19 comments These book covers were done by Vanessa Burger
The Race An Inspiring Story for Left-Handers by Jan Hurst-Nicholson Mystery at Ocean Drive by Jan Hurst-Nicholson
She either reads the whole book, or asks for lots of details about the story before beginning the project to make sure she gets a proper representation of the story.
This is her website. http://www.creativestuffdesigns.com/a...

Michael Mason | 3 comments I designed my own cover:

I use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create mine. I prefer to create them myself as I have more control over my vision. I am not familiar with GIMP but there are many tutorials on YouTube.
