One more Jenna and we're even on the challenge. You've done a ton of reading this month. Great to see you reading Dresden Files.

I'm listening to Dresden on audio which so far, I'm really enjoying. :)

Cover with a cloak: Grave Peril

It's pushing it, but his cloak is famous so I'm going to count shadow-y Harry in the background.

I wouldn't be too picky. The covers I have picked out for orange and pink have a smattering of the colors. I didn't realize how difficult some of these might be or that there's a myriad of blues and greens out there.

It would have been nice to do this challenge when we started Malazan for the colour covers. As long as you do the newer covers, it's a whole rainbow.

Bill wrote: "Great progress Jenna. I never understood why Harry has a hat on for all the covers when he never wears one during the series."

Thanks! Huh, I never thought about that. It kind of makes him look more like a cheesy TV drama detective, though. For me, at least up until now, the books kind of feel the same way (in a good way).

Jim Butcher has joked about the hat on the covers, and he even put something in one of the more recent books that seemed like a reference to the book covers, but I can't remember which book it was.

I never even thought about the fact Harry never wears a hat yet he does on the covers. It would look odd on a cover if he didn't have one as I'm so use to how he looks on the cover.

I like the hat on the covers. It adds a nice flare and makes me think of the old noir detective stories that Dresden was sort of inspired by.

I'm going to move The Drawing of the Three to a book with the author's name in the biggest font so I can use red cover for The Blood Mirror. It's just seems more red than the red-brown of Th Drawing of the Three.

I didn't buy it (I borrowed the audio book from a friend), but I would say, no, it's not worth that. The thing I liked most about the book was Neil Gaiman's narration so I would recommend the audio book, but I still might wait because it's around ~$20.
