Alex (asato) Warren Buffett and Tony Robbins say that their top investment is in yourself! Like a class--or a book, in Robbins opinion as stated in the article.

How about you? What's the latest class you took or book on writing that you read?

I've been reading a lot of writing fiction books and plan to take a writing seminar this year.

The lastest book that I've read and am using is How to Write a Movie in 21 Days.

Martha | 67 comments My favorite writing conference is Life, the Universe, and Everything. 3 days of great classes for an unbeatable price. Every February in Utah.

Barbara Tarn (barbaragtarn) Online or offline courses both on craft and the business of writing (I've done both of both, if that makes sense)
http://www.deanwesleysmith.com/online...
and
http://www.deanwesleysmith.com/worksh...

or you can get the writing bundles at Story Bundle or Bundle Rabbit (still going through some of those):
Here you have the archive of StoryBundle https://storybundle.com/archive
usually they do the writing bundles around NaNoWriMo.
On Bundle Rabbit you currently have the Ultimate Guides to Indie Publishing https://bundlerabbit.com/b/ultimate-g...
Just keep an eye on both.

Alex (asato) Thanks so much, Barbara and Martha. I just added the links to my writing workshops/courses spreadsheet.

Joe Clark | 40 comments I think experimenting works best for me. I have completed one on-line course. I got a lot out of it but from doing the exercises. The comments on my submitted work were useless. I am currently taking a Patterson Master Class online. There is not real interaction. So the benefit comes from trying to put the lessons into practice. Again, I am getting some useful insights. I have gotten a lot of good input from group shares at writers' meetings.
