Each January we do a "Best of 20XX"?"
I could go along with that if we are focusing on collected editions released that year. I don't keep up on single issues, so I would have no idea what is the best currently being released.

Good points about it covering only collected editions released that year. Are we too far to do a 2016? I know my memory can't handle it. :)

I haven't thought about this in a while. Looking at modern Marvel series my top ten modern runs would probably still contain some of the same things I mentioned last time. However, I have some additions:
1. Captain America by Brubaker
2. Fantastic Four by Hickman
3. Daredevil by Bendis and Brubaker
4. Gillen's Journey Into Mystery (kid Loki story)
5. Planet Hulk
6. Uncanny X-Force by Remender
7. Books of Doom by Brubaker
8. New Avengers by Bendis
9. Vision by Tom King
10. Avengers by Hickman
10. Abnett and Lanning's cosmic run (the Nova run was my favorite but the Guardians of the Galaxy was also excellent, the modern movies are based on that run).
While I like what I've seen of Hickman's start on X-Men I feel like it's too early for me to give that run a top ten spot yet. I haven't read Ultimate Spiderman by Bendis yet. The Brubaker Iron Fist run was also very good and it's hard not to include as is Aaron's God Butcher/Bomb portion of his Thor run.

I really enjoyed Books of Doom. It's an origin story for Doom by Brubaker. It's only 5 or 6 issues long so it is relatively short. I believe it is only available in single issues and standard size HC. The hardcover is really expensive on the secondary market ($80 to $100). They should do an OHC but not sure the chances are good that they will.
Erik, I'd be curious what your top modern comic book runs would be. :)

I’ll compile a list but need to give it some thought given the parameters of it being Marvel and I’m going to extend it to past 10 years.

I love Fantagraphics but nearly everything I buy from them is printing non-modern material. :) I also realize I haven't followed DC very well as I didn't have enough material to fill out five options.
