message 26: by Jinny (new)

Jinny (jinellybean) | 7 comments Hi! It's my first time commenting in this group despite having joined a couple of months ago. Gomen ne. Anyways, I'm reading The Hero's Walk by Anita Rau Badami for my English class since we were assigned to read a Canadian novel for our literary circle. That being said, it is about a man from India named Sripathi who cuts off ties with his daughter upon learning that she intended to marry a man of different race and when she and her husband passes away due to a car accident, he now has to deal with his grief as he tries to raise her newly orphaned daughter who lived all her life in Canada. Prior to that, I finished The Hour of Bad Decisions by Russell Wangersky (which is a collection of short stories).
