Chapter One-Two:
(view spoiler)[Oh my gosh, I love both of the main characters!! They are both such smart asses and sarcastic.

I feel like this will be a fun book so far; I like the fact that they are total geeks.

"Is that girl wearing a shirt with my face on it?" How is he a celebrity and is surprised by that? Though I like how he brings out an average person into a celebrity

Chapter Four:
(view spoiler)[I want to know what happened with his friends, and why and how did Brian (aka former best friend) betray him?
I must say, though, I love all of the Syfy references (star wars, star trek, and now Dr. Who)

What is with his dad not wanting him to be happy about his roles? Poor Gail, she has every right to have anxiety; Mark is a jerk.

I am officially making a list of all of the references; they make me so happy.

Chapter 5-6
(view spoiler)[Okay, I officially like Sage and hate James; what a jerk!
Of course, the stepMOMster is selling the house, though I didn't expect Cal not to be as bad. Though, I was not super surprised because there are other cinderella retellings where one of the stepsisters isn't that bad (aka ever after)

I LOVE the backstory of her mom and dad; they sound like the perfect two geeks in love romance.

Chapter 7-8
(view spoiler)[I love their text messages. They are such big fans of a show and very similar. I am definitely in support of them and think they would be good friends too.

I think it's funny that the one over the text messages and the one doing the blog is the same person, Elle.

I appreciate the description of the bodyguard; I could seriously picture it.

Also, let me get this straight...he "Insured his abs?" Is there anyone else being like WTF, no matter how good the pecs look! Oh, also, is Mark talking to Harrison Ford or somebody else.

(view spoiler)[I LOVE SAGE; SHE IS SERIOUSLY ALWAYS MY FAVORITE TYPE OF CHARACTER IN BOOKS, CONFIDENT, SARCASTIC, AND SMARTASS.

I do not like Jessica Stone; she annoys me for some reason. She seems like another typical celebrity, wanting to do a role just for the money. Then they both have that flirty thing in the end, which frustrated me since I don't want them to be another fake "Celeb relationship," GROSS!

He deserves better since he is excited about this role and will try his best for the fans and not just for money.

I shouldn't because how weird would it be if a complete stranger talked to you through text message? Though, it is crazily cute and maybe a rom-com worthy romantic.

(view spoiler)[ This is a nice light hearted read. It’s a little more predictable than I expected but it’s still enjoyable. The characters are a bit dramatic and build things up too much sometimes. I was expecting some big heartbreaking story with Darien’s friend. I hope there’s some kind of twist near the end and it doesn’t play out exactly the same as Cinderella. (hide spoiler)]

I have no idea how the author managed to create such a well thought out show and fandom for this book. It’s easy to forget how hard that must have been when the basic story is a retelling.

Yes! I know in my mind I was mostly picturing something remotely Star Trek-ish, but I loved that. I guess when you do this you can just make the best parts version of a great imaginary TV show.

(view spoiler)[ I absolutely loved the ball when Chloe thought she was going to take down Ella by making out what a nerd she was. And Darien reminded her that everyone present was a geek except hateful Chloe. I was actually close to tears when the other cosplayers were giving Ella parts of their costume and the whole lot of them rallied around her--because her dad had given them a place to be happy weirdos. What a gift to have a place to be yourself with strangers, even if it's only once a year. <3 (hide spoiler)]

I thought this would just be a quick lighthearted read. I didn’t expect to be gripped in the second half and to like it as much as I did. I can’t wait to read the sequel.

I already have it from the library! I'm glad I got the whole trilogy at once. I feel like I always have expectations too high when I've already loved another series by an author, but at least with a library loan it's low stakes for me if I can't get into the new series. Ashley Poston did not disappoint after Heart of Iron.
