This book has had three titles: Missionary, Brother Wives, and Far Too Many Boys. It is now on almost all retailers as Missionary (I just uploaded it to Smashwords so it will feed out to B & N, Kobo, iTunes, etc within a week.
I picked it up today at Amazon for $3.99. It sounds terrific, and I'm looking forward to reading it.

You couldn't wait a month, could you? Mid-September is my birthday and I can justify the expenditure better then... :-p
That works too, he said selfishly deferring expenditure despite how irksome it is for your other fans.
Give it time, since you joined the site this month. I was more or less still peering around wondering what was where and who was who the first month.
I'm not sure if there were any books set for an August 2017 BotM. This book was previously designated the BotM for April 2017, but didn't seem to be available at the time. Richard asked that it be a group read or BotM since the author indicated the book is now available for purchase from various outlets. I have it on my to-read list too. Any alternatives or objections?
Unfortunately the GR link to Amazon isn't working, so here is a direct link:

I can very, very highly recommend this as a group read. It's *extremely* thought provoking, and might give a group fodder for discussion for more than a mere month. Disclosure: I read the book already and rated it five stars. I am therefore quite partisan in recommending it for a group read!
Events in Charlottesville lead me to ask my friends to read this novel, only $3.99 on all electronic platforms. Attached is a link to my review.#ReadingIsResistance to theocracy MISSIONARY http://tinyurl.com/y7le5xnp
This scary book is my 6* read for 2017, a terrifying #dystopian vision of #Mormon society gone amok. Gay lovers, uniquely protected against the worst ravages of the theocracy, fight to retain the memory of better, more tolerant days.
Hi everyone. I just joined. Specifically to group read this book (thanks to Richard's review). I read a lot of sci-fi. I also read a lot of M/M romance/lit. It'll be interesting to see how well my two favorite genres combine into one book.

I really hope we can get a group read going! Month doesn't matter, the book's just so chock-full of interesting ideas I'd love to see a bunch of folks reading it together.
Lehi wrote: "Good point. I had no idea anyone had even read the book so finding this was a happy accident. :)"Hi Lehi! I'm happy to say that my blogged review of MISSIONARY has been read over 500 times. I hope some of those have turned into sales...and I hope we can still get a group read going here!
Fabi and I can't be the only ones to find the idea fascinating. Where is everybody?

Hi Richard -
If you like I will send out a group letter about this. I am super busy for the next few months so I couldn't organize or run the group read though - You'd have to do that.

I'll give it a whirl. I want folks to read this book. It's too good to let languish.

Ok; set up a thread for it and I will send out a group message.

Sorry; I just now got the group letter sent out. Are you interested in being a moderator? Then you could send your own group letters!

I'm pretty bad at group stuff, so probably best that I not volunteer for something I'm almost guaranteed to stink at. Thanks for getting the word out, it's not a time-sensitive kind of a thing the way I like group reads.
I'm late to the party & have never participated in a group read so... we shall see.I received the group invite & read Richards Goodreads review so just bought the book and plan to start reading this evening.

Can't wait to hear how it came across to you.
I started reading this last night and ended up staying up way to late. The world building here is phenomenal. It is subtle, not in your face overly descriptive yet captivating. I am along with Jacob on this journey and while I find him enchanting the dystopia he lives in is creepy. I keep trying to sneak in paragraphs here & there because like Jacob I am full of questions.

That's exactly how I felt! I was compelled to stay up late to fit in more words.
I'm 61% done with Missionary: "Grey, not bad. White, pretty good. Black, lonely. Pink, horrid. Simply Horrid. Yellow, tragedy. Pure Tragedy. What I find most disturbing are the little tidbits I can see of this dystopia right now. Right here in America."
I keep reading parts aloud to my husband because I can't not share!

Thanks!
