@ Magdelanye - Many of my recent days have been spent helping m y daughter verathaning wood molding for doors, baseboards and sections of stair railings so I have been reading Lullabies for Little Criminals before bed, and hope to have time in the day (when non-fiction is best read) in the next few weeks to read more of The Chalice and the Blade: Our History, Our Future. I have placed a hold on The Dancehall Years.
Glad to hear of gardens planted, dancing done in the rain, walks taken, and trees hanging on.

@Ellie, I know you've read Miracle Fair, but a while ago. Today I came across this passage which you may not remember, consciously anyways, for it seems so pertinent to the idea of null poetics. so I quote:
I select by rejecting, for there's no other way,
but what I reject, is more numerous,
more dense, more intrusive than ever.
At the cost of untold losses-- a poem, a sigh.
I reply with a whisper to a thunderous calling.
How much I am silent about I can't say.
