So far this series reminds me a lot of Harry Potter, but there are differences. It is interesting to read and a fun young adult book.

has anyone check out this series! I love it and it is sooo good! Just wanted to let you know in case someone was looking for a great new series. I think there will be more from this series. I hope it becomes a movie too! I can't wait for the next book!
, This book is sooo good. It is a new series and an author I have not read before and it is about Genies! I love it so far and I can't put it down. The cover is also so beautiful.

Currently reading Jane Eyre . I can't believe it's taken me so long to read such a classic! At first I found it a little slow - not boring, but slow and wordy - but now I'm really into it and enjoying it!

Know what? I've only seen a short clip of it in movie form. I like the images of Jane and Rochester that live in my head. 😉

I am absolutely loving this book! I have not read the Lunar Chronicles as I can't really get into the whole "cyborg" idea of stuff, but I am liking this author a lot.

Even if you're not into all the cyborg stuff I'd still recommend it! Cinder and Scarlet are good and hooked me on the series, but Cress and Winter were really great.
Anyone into manga? It's not one of my main reads, but I enjoy getting into a series once and a while. I tend to enjoy the romances like Mars and Kare First Love the best, though I don't mind some action too! Anyone have any recommendations?

I have not heard much about this. Can you tell me more about it?

I just like to pick up a copy when I want something nice and easy to read with a bit of romance and some pictures to look at! However, the manga's I hear about are always really hard/impossible to get in english translations so that's why I was wondering if anyone could recommend something.

Now that I've read the book, I can say the film is really faithful to the story, except for a few little scenes that didn't make the cut. It's a good book though!
I'm currently reading Funland , Dead by Morning , Stage 3: A Post Apocalyptic Thriller , The Secret of Ventriloquism , Heart-Shaped Box

I am still reading the heart shaped box myself. What do you think of this one so far. I think it is a little creepy but I like it!

I actually just started and had to stop for a minute. I'm doing some beta reading, critiquing and finishing up 2 manuscripts of my own. From the first few pages it seems okay. When I dig in, I'll let you know my thoughts.

, I loved the first series my this author and I was so sad after 12 books that they ended this series. I guess the authors were too because they have brought back the "House of the Night" series back! I am so excited! So far I love this book! I can't wait for more.

I think the author gave enough information to let you know what happened in the other series. I think you could start with this one and see if you feel you are caught up but I believe you would be.

I read this one years ago, definitely worth the time!!!

Thanks Melissa. I definately won't be giving up on it.
Right now I'm reading The Sun Is Also a Star, Truckers: The First Book of the Nomes, Frankenstein and I'm listening to Cymbaline:. I usually have several books going at once; I was like this when I read as a child, too, although I think I did have a few years in my teens when it was one novel at a time.
Dreamin' Dreamsthis is a book of short Irish stories. I'm quite enjoying reading it even though I don't have as much time to sit down and open a book at the moment.
I'm listening to Dragonfly in Amber (book two of Outlander) on audiobook. I'm not enjoying it as much as I enjoyed Outlander, however. It feels like a completely new story, though there is a lot to admire.
