The Book in the Attic (Celia's Journey, #1) by Melissa Gunther So far this series reminds me a lot of Harry Potter, but there are differences. It is interesting to read and a fun young adult book.

Make Me a Wish (The Conduit, #1) by K.B. Ladnier , This book is sooo good. It is a new series and an author I have not read before and it is about Genies! I love it so far and I can't put it down. The cover is also so beautiful.

AshleyA (MamaNeedsBooks) (mamaneedsbooks) I am currently reading Heartless by Marissa Meyer and loving it!

M.L. Sparrow (mlsparrow) | 43 comments Currently reading Jane Eyre . I can't believe it's taken me so long to read such a classic! At first I found it a little slow - not boring, but slow and wordy - but now I'm really into it and enjoying it!

message 59: by J. Marie (new)

J. Marie (tabby8) Jane Eyre is one of my favourites. I've read it three times over the years.

It's fast becoming one of mine, too! Have always loved the film and I don't know why it's taken me so long to read it!

message 61: by J. Marie (new)

J. Marie (tabby8) Know what? I've only seen a short clip of it in movie form. I like the images of Jane and Rochester that live in my head. 😉

I am absolutely loving this book! I have not read the Lunar Chronicles as I can't really get into the whole "cyborg" idea of stuff, but I am liking this author a lot.

Even if you're not into all the cyborg stuff I'd still recommend it! Cinder and Scarlet are good and hooked me on the series, but Cress and Winter were really great.

M.L. Sparrow (mlsparrow) | 43 comments Anyone into manga? It's not one of my main reads, but I enjoy getting into a series once and a while. I tend to enjoy the romances like Mars and Kare First Love the best, though I don't mind some action too! Anyone have any recommendations?

Honestly, I'm not that well informed myself! I just like to pick up a copy when I want something nice and easy to read with a bit of romance and some pictures to look at! However, the manga's I hear about are always really hard/impossible to get in english translations so that's why I was wondering if anyone could recommend something.

I love the movie, the most recent one at least, so I'd say definitely watch it. Now that I've read the book, I can say the film is really faithful to the story, except for a few little scenes that didn't make the cut. It's a good book though!

I think the author gave enough information to let you know what happened in the other series. I think you could start with this one and see if you feel you are caught up but I believe you would be.

Karin Right now I'm reading The Sun Is Also a Star, Truckers: The First Book of the Nomes, Frankenstein and I'm listening to Cymbaline:. I usually have several books going at once; I was like this when I read as a child, too, although I think I did have a few years in my teens when it was one novel at a time.
