As Claire suggested we do, I'm going create threads for books that are on our radar, that we'll eventually review on the Fantasy Book Club. I'm currently working my way through the classic 2001: A Space Odyssey, which I'll lend to Sam after I've finished (as he's too much of a cheapskate to buy his own books :D )
First thing I've noticed: It's aged horribly (should have guessed by the title really!) but I'm really enjoying it, if not for that very reason! Sad to admit, I haven't actually seen the film all the way through (though surely its better to read the book first yeh?) but will after I've read it to compare what Kubrick did with it!

Cheapskate? How very dare you sir! I seem to recall I lent a book to you, and you destroyed it by spilling stuff all over it.

Yay - threads about books - awesome. I haven't read this tho - does that mean I have to hand my sci-fi card back in? I've seen the film and mastered the musical hand action. I'll move it to the top of the pile.
