Still very close and the vote hasn't changed for a few days - will be have 2 runners up this month?

We have a winner!

It's The Crime at Black Dudley by Margery Allingham, the first in the Albert Campion series.

The Crime at Black Dudley (Albert Campion Mystery #1) by Margery Allingham

This month it was a very close poll and there's a tie for second place, so Murder in Stained Glass by Margaret Armstrong and Information Received by E.R. Punshon will both go into the runners-up poll in June!

Full results:

The Crime at Black Dudley (Albert Campion Mystery #1) 7 votes, 22.6%
Murder in Stained Glass 6 votes, 19.4%
Information Received (The Bobby Owen Mysteries, #1) 6 votes, 19.4%
Murder Underground 4 votes, 12.9%
The Poisoned Chocolates Case (Roger Sheringham Cases, #5) 3 votes, 9.7%
Crocodile on the Sandbank (Amelia Peabody #1) 3 votes, 9.7%
In the Fog 2 votes, 6.5%

Yes indeed, there were 2 runners up this month - and only one vote between them and the winner, to stop it being a 3-way tie!

Well, I shall give Margery Allingham another try and look forward to reading the first Campion book :)

I'm excited as he is one of my favourites although this is a slightly odd book - should be lots to discuss anyway! :)

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) | 1036 comments I didn’t initially vote for it because I reread it just over a year ago, but it will be fun to revisit it in a group! I do love Albert (and Lugg).

Michelle (michelleae) I agree that it is odd! Just finished reading it. Quite bizarre but not unenjoyable. Will be an interesting discussion.

That's wonderful, Pamela :) So nice when a book finds a good home!
