Rosemarie wrote: "Way to go, Paula."Thanks, Rosemarie. I know this is lightweight compared to your incredible reading list. What do you hope to achieve by the end of 2017, and will it be a personal record?
I have no idea, Paula, but it is definitely going to be a personal record. I have read quite a lot of short books, and the chunksters on my shelf are waiting to be read next year. So this year will probably be my all-time high for quite a while. Last year was a more normal reading year for me.
Trisha wrote: "I read 12 books in October, my total to the end of October is 152 books."That's so good, Trisha. Well done!
John wrote: "I completed my challenge: 500 books. I'm not doing that again for a long long time. :)"Goodness, how on earth did you read 500 books? My brain would be utterly scrambled if I attempted half that many. Well done!
Rosemarie wrote: "Great work, everybody."A massive congratulations to you too, Rosemarie. What a year!
Thanks. I have never read that many books in one year before. In 2018 I have to tackle the chunksters on my bookshelves. They take up a lot of room.
Paula wrote: "John wrote: "I completed my challenge: 500 books. I'm not doing that again for a long long time. :)"Goodness, how on earth did you read 500 books? My brain would be utterly scrambled if I attempt..."
I usually read between 200 and 300 books a year, so it was a bit of a stretch. In the last two months I read a lot of smaller books, which helped considerably.
I ranged anywhere from 25 books behind to 20 books ahead at various points.
I read 12 books in December, so my total for the year is 177 books. Congratulations to everyone who reached their challenge - & thank you for all the encouragement. Happy New Year, everyone!
