Is Alice the first novel you started writing?

When did you start writing it?

How long did it take to write?

Good morning Anna-Lisa, thank you for joining the discussion.
Although Alice is the first adult novel I have written, I have wrote a series of children's stories, called "Coop Chaos"

I started writing Alice around five years ago, then put it down, while my interest was diverted to children's stories. I re connected with Alice around eighteen months ago. I guess in total it took me around two years with many stop starts.

Thank you for your quick reply.

Did you ever suffer from the dreaded "Writer's Block" whilst writing Alice?

Luckily for me this did not happen. Once I felt creative, I was overflowing with ideas about the journey of Alice.

Hi Marisa,
thank you for taking an interest in my book. My work involves aspects of health promotion and public health in general. Prior to writing the novel, I had read some recent alarming statistics regarding the number of middle aged women who were drinking in excess of the daily recommended units of alcohol. I began to wonder, how these women might easily slip into the realms of alcoholism and so the character of Alice was created.
