It wouldn't be a book club if we didn't read books. And one of the nicest things about reading is being able to discuss what you read with other people. However some of us lead busy lives and just couldn't keep up with a set book every week to get through.

So for that reason, we will have six suggested reads for the year, which would work out to one every two months and discussions open for the whole year for those books. Then it doesn't matter if you just read one, or all six. It doesn't matter how long it takes you - you might finish one next week or it could take you all year.

On top of this, we will have discussions about other books we have read and anyone can add recommended books to the bookshelf. Feel free at any time to post reviews of books or start discussions about issues raised in a book you might have read. Even if no one else has read that book, the issues are still relevant to everybody and we might be able to help you get your head around it.

Additionally we have other forums running for non-book related discussion, whether that is current events, TV and Movies, reading challenges, other media and any other issue you might want to bring up.

So get reading, join in, discuss and above all have fun!!

I was thinking maybe each member nominates 3-4 books each, and we could hold a poll to determine the six.
