Pam Saunders | 2 comments Hi, found this in the school library (all boys senior secondary) which was good, not sure if many of our students will read it although a high proportion want to be doctors. I think it would be hard to relate too if you are young, not yet in medicine and dont have elderly relatives, but maybe I am making an assumption. I found it to hard read, in that it was philosophical, and not a linear read. Some big issues which are really important about how we treat/talk to both the terminally ill and the elderly.

I'm about half way through and I agree it might be hard to relate to if you're reading this as a very young person. I'm in my fifties and although both of my parents have passed its giving me a lot of food for thought about my own later years and also my in-laws.
