Alex Reborn (al13ex) | 3 comments I have a question about the page count for webtoons. For Noblesse: Season 1, Set the number of pages was set at 820, but I have no idea where that number came from. This is a webtoon that can be read here: http://comic.naver.com/webtoon/detail... online and here: http://www.webtoons.com/en/fantasy/no... for English. Isn't it more logical to have the episode number as pages instead of that other number? I can't find an explanation for this high count, but it's really not a book of 820 pages long! I think it's untrue and it would also give a wrong impression of the page count when it comes to the yearly challenge.

I went ahead and changed the page number for the entire series to correspond to the episode number, but I can change it back if my reasoning is not right.

What's the best solution for this problem? Can anyone help?

monika (lunafreya) | 132 comments i am not sure how the webtoons work but i think this is a boxset of three webtoon volumes and i can believe they have 820pages altogether. I did a little research with my limited korean and i know korean bookstores are not acceptable sources but they all really list this isbn with 820 pages for example: http://www.kyobobook.co.kr/product/de...
and there is this blog: http://skyandroads.blogspot.com/2013/... and they also say it's 820 (and since they list the amount of chapters the boxset consists of i believe 820pages is quite reasonable)

and as for the explanation why it may seem too much i might only guess that to print it on paper they had to split the pages somehow differently from how you see it on the webpages you linked

In general, a webtoon would not be a book on Goodreads -- unless it was also published in some sort of complete form, which appears to be the case here. That page count is about the published work.

Alex Reborn (al13ex) | 3 comments Thank you for answering! I still think it's a bit of an issue and I am conflicted about it... Mainly because reading a 820 pages book doesn't compare with reading this webtoon... If there is the online version (and I know that many people read it online), can I delete the number of pages altogether? Or would that be unethical? I'm not sure what to do...

No, valid data should not be removed from GR and that edition has 820 pages, so the GR page is correct as is.
