Vicky Cuevas | 5 comments I am wondering where everyone gets their tea? Do you buy in person or order online? And do you buy from different places depending on what kind of tea you want? I know of a few reputable tea sellers (Upton, Jasmine Pearl, Arbor, Silk Road) but don't really know where to buy what. Any guidance would be appreciated! Oh, I am in California, in the Bay Area.

I generally buy online from vendors that specialize in the type of tea I'm looking for, especially when it comes to puerh. Teavivre and Yunnan Sourcing are good general go-to's for Chinese teas. You can't go wrong with Yunomi for Japanese teas.

Since you're in the bay area, you might find this guide helpful:

Hillel Bromberg | 9 comments My current faves are:
Camellia Sinensis – http://camellia-sinensis.com/en/tea-s...
Verdant Teas – http://verdanttea.com/
Whispering Pines Tea Co. – https://whisperingpinestea.com
In Pursuit of Tea - http://www.inpursuitoftea.com

Anyone know what happened to Mandala Tea? They’ve been saying for many months that they are “relocating,” but their website seems to be static. I like their teas, so I hope they haven’t gone way completely.

I was concerned about Mandala Tea as well. Looks like Garret popped into to Steepster to let everyone know that he can take email orders:
