Team Leader: Trinity

message 2: by Ashlyn (new)

Ashlyn | 2085 comments Hi Everyone! I'm excited for this challenge. I'm really bad at team names, but should we pick one that relates to Valentine's Day?

message 3: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (nieceykelz) | 266 comments Cupid's archers or Cupid's assistants ?

message 4: by Leah (new)

Leah | 2677 comments I like Cupid's Archers.

message 5: by Ashlyn (new)

Ashlyn | 2085 comments I like Cupid's Archers as well. Who wants to be the team leader? I'm really busy with school this month, so I don't want to do it.

message 6: by Trinity (last edited Jan 26, 2017 09:44AM) (new)

Trinity I like Cupid's Archers! This is my first time in this challenge so I wouldn't recommend myself as the team leader. If no one else wants to do it though, I'll look around the threads and see if I could figure it out how to organize the points. But ONLY if no one else wants to!

message 7: by Trinity (new)

Trinity I just went looking through other threads and being team leader doesn't seem like too much, just a check in with everyone's points. I can be team leader if no one else wants the task. :)

I can send you how to set up the points every week, so all you have to do is fill in the information if you want me to. I have done it previously, but I am just really busy with school. I think I have two essays, two business reports, and two presentations due in the next two-three weeks.

Trinity Kiki wrote: "Ok, so can someone explain how this works? This is the first time I'm doing this challenge!"

I'm fairly new to this challenge so I wouldn't be the best at explaining how this works but here's the information thread with everything you need to know : https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I can try and explain it if you still have questions. :)

message 17: by Ashlyn (new)

Ashlyn | 2085 comments Basically, once a week a movie with requirements is posted and you try to find a book that meets some (or all) of those requirements. For this week, the requirements are:

Genre: Romance or Fantasy(1 point)
Cover: Sky or A couple on cover (2 points)
Plot: Revenge or Kidnapping (3 points)
Title: Princess or Bride (4 points)
Name: Wes, Valarie, Max (5 points)
Setting: Chicago or 1987 (6 points)
Hidden Words: book, sick, kid, war, rescue (1 point for each word)

For Name, it could be a character in the book, or the author's name. For Setting, it could be the place, or the year the book was published. You get one point for each hidden word you find in the book.

The team can get extra points depending on when everyone finishes their books. So if everyone finishes their books on day 1 or 2 of that week, then we get an extra 3 points. Day 3 or 4: 2 points, Day 5 or 6: 1 point, Day 7+: 0 points.

Essentially, the challenge runs for 4 weeks, and you have to read 1 book per week.

I hope this helps.
