I'm made good progress on my book Dawn Study (Soulfinders, #3) by Maria V. Snyder (27%) and will probably finish it today. I'm also hoping to make some good progress on The Calling (Endgame, #1) by James J. Frey today. I'm hoping to at least get to 25%. I'll also be starting When by Victoria Laurie today. :)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8239 comments Hope you can reach your reading goal for the day! Are you enjoying the books?

message 30: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9906 comments C P wrote: "Hope you can reach your reading goal for the day! Are you enjoying the books?"

Dawn Study was a bit slow a first because it had been a bit too long since I'd read Shadow Study and Night Study but I'm getting into it now.

The Calling started promising but a comment from my BR partner has made me a little wary so I'm kind of putting it off. :/

message 31: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8239 comments Hopefully they both end better! What did they say that you're not wanting to read as much now?

message 32: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9906 comments They said there was a large 'cast' and I prefer a smaller one. I tend to lose track otherwise. They did mention it gets small later in the book though so that should help. :)

message 33: by Ruth (new)

Ruth Hawes | 36 comments I started the Underground railroad yesterday. I have been putting it off for a while and decided the other day to pick it up. Not sure what I think of it now just hoping it gets better. ☺️

message 34: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8239 comments Bookbuyer: I hope it ends up working betger for you than you expect. Too big of a cast can be a little confusing.

Ruth: I hope you end up enjoying somewhat at least!

message 35: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9906 comments Quick question based on your respond to Jamie. 'Well you can at least count any pages read for the challenge.' Does that mean that you can count books that you have DNF'ed (as long as you write a review I assume) and books that are under a 100 pages?

message 36: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8239 comments Yes, in the rules it should say something like 'pages read from books started in previous months can be counted assuming the book would fit a category' so I am adding in that assuming it would fit one of the categories, a short story/novella or DNF book can count for pages as well. So it wouldn't give you a point but would count toward your overall page count.

message 37: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9906 comments C P wrote: "Yes, in the rules it should say something like 'pages read from books started in previous months can be counted assuming the book would fit a category' so I am adding in that assuming it would fit ..."

YAY! That helps a lot thank you. :)

message 38: by Ruth (new)

Ruth Hawes | 36 comments I have a question. If I read half or a small part of the book in January but finished it in February would the pages still count. :)

message 39: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9906 comments Ruth wrote: "I have a question. If I read half or a small part of the book in January but finished it in February would the pages still count. :)"

Yes. You can count pages from a book from the previous month. :)

message 40: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8239 comments Yep. Bookbuyer has it right. For this challenge you can still count those pages. :)

message 41: by RainySun (new)

RainySun (sunnyrain) | 875 comments I am currently reading A World Without you. But i haven't had much time to read and the book has been going a bit slow for me so far, but will hopefully be done by tonight or tomorrow

Ruth Hawes | 36 comments The movie is a brand new Netflix original that only came out a couple of days ago but it is amazing. This is one of the few occasions where I would say the film is better than the book. :p
