Silvana (silvaubrey) Just curious how many offline book clubs you are in, where, how your book discussions usually being done. It could be general book clubs, genre specific or even author and series specific.

I am in four offline clubs; all of them are fandom-based clubs: Eorlingas for Tolkien books, IndoHarryPotter, Westeros Indonesia (A Song of Ice and Fire series), and Stroudians for Jonathan Stroud fans. I do not have a general book club yet to for this purpose.

Anyway, the book discussions we have are usually organized in Jabodetabek area. Sometimes we discuss a single book during several meetings (IHP, Eorl, West) but sometimes we use themes or POV based discussions with designated discussion leaders (West) or we discuss whatever we think interesting from the series (Stroud).

Thanks in advance for sharing!

Silvana (silvaubrey) ^ If you like fantasy you might want to check the ones I mentioned. we sometimes discuss other books or series too but not in details.

I know there is one called Jakarta Book Club since a friend is a member. They discuss books in their gatherings based on themes, I think, not individual books. Never joined any since their themes are way too serious for my taste.
