Dustin Brewer | 1 comments As a biologist, and someone who has specimen preparation experience, I found this book to be very interesting. I was unaware that Teddy Roosevelt had such a passion for the study of natural history. To read about his evolution from a hunter to an active conservationist was encouraging, as it is provides evidence in regard to how much good an environmental education can do. I found myself wishing that Darrin Lunde had focused more on the conservation feats of Roosevelt, though can understand why he may have considered doing so to be not within the scope of the story that he intended to tell.
