Ok, so I'm in need of a new topic, because I'm not sure anymore which K dramas I've seen and which were just mentioned here, and I'd like to have them all in one topic, easy to find.

I guess this is your kingdom, PuddleJumper!
Thank you for introducing me into this whole new world. Now I'm caught and addicted :D

I am so glad you enjoyed it! I Remember you was my first kdrama, and though I've seen several since, it's still my favourite :) If you're looking for some more, here's the way I've been finding the good ones:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gWWf...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtukI...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKTp1...
Ones I've actually seen and can confirm have good bromances are Padam Padam, Moorim School, School 2013 and Secretly Greatly. If you watch some of the others first, I would love to hear whether or not you'd recommend them! : D

message 4: by PuddleJumper (new)

PuddleJumper | 90 comments Sorry Calls, I was away for several days but I am back and so glad to see you've created this new topic! This is indeed my area of expertise haha :) They say there's a little bit of bromance in every kdrama and it's 100% true in my experience!

I have some new recommendations too:
Shoot My Heart http://kissasian.com/Drama/Shoot-My-H...
The Gifted Hands http://kissasian.com/Drama/The-Gifted...
Secretly Greatly http://kissasian.com/Drama/Secretly-G...

These are 3 Korean films with strong bromance, all three are quite comical, and yet sad, especially Secretly Greatly which is kind of a trick film I guess... Basically the first 40 minutes is all comedy but then it takes a turn to the dark side... You just gotta watch it.

And dramas I've seen recently with bromance include:
Moonlight Drawn By Clouds http://kissasian.com/Drama/Love-in-th...
Can You Hear My Heart http://kissasian.com/Drama/Can-You-He...

Can You Hear My Heart is a really long, melodramatic, drawn out drama so it may not be your cup of tea, but the bros kick in about episode 5 or 6 and I feel that they are pretty worth it, at least so far, I'm only at episode 13 currently. Moonlight is also romance centred but the bros are definitely worth the scenes they get.

Oh yes, and here are two KBS drama specials:
My Friend Is Still Alive http://kissasian.com/Drama/My-Friend-...
Sirius http://www1.dramacool.to/drama-detail...

All these links should take you to where you can watch them. Hope that stocks you up for a little while :)

Wow, it certainly will, thank you so much!
I'll start with Secretly Greatly. I meant to watch it for a long time, then I found out it's a movie and I was in a series mood, but this weekend might be the right time :)

I really did enjoy Shut Up Flower Boy Band you recommended before. Recently I watched Moorim School and can't wait for more!

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Shut Up Flower Boy Band! I cry every time I watch the first three episodes :'( Moorim School drove me a little nuts in the middle when they were fighting but the reconciliation and ending was totally worth it!

Roxane | 206 comments I'm watching Can You Hear My Heart right now! They do have a pretty nice relationship. :) Wish we'd see them interact a bit more, but what we do get I like very much. I'm about halfway through!

message 9: by PuddleJumper (new)

PuddleJumper | 90 comments Glad you guys enjoyed Can You Hear My Heart!

Another one to recommend would be Goblin. It's kind of the biggest thing in the kdrama world right now, and has some very humorous yet occasionally heartfelt moments between the Goblin and the Grim Reaper!

Thank you soooooo much for recommending this! This is seriously one of the best things I've seen in ages, and I've only just finished the first episode. I'm so excited to watch the rest of this - it's been years since I watched a kdrama. I feel like I'm in high school again haha

message 11: by Pupeez4eva (new)

Pupeez4eva | 5 comments Okay, this might be unlikely but...does anyone know any kdramas that include bromance, but don't have any romance? Or at the very least, the main focus isn't romance?

I know this is probably highly unlikely for kdrama, but I have stumbled across one or two like this, so maybe there are some more out there?

message 12: by Marie (new)

Marie | 9 comments In terms of kdrama bromance without romance, the only one I've seen is School 2013. But I'd like to find some others as well. Would you mind listing the ones you've found? :)

Yeah I second Marie in that the only one I've ever really seen without any romance is School 2013, although... This one's a bit of a stretch, but White Christmas only has hints/mentions of a past romance. I say it's a stretch because while there are 8 male characters who do have several great moments together (most notably a few where they play in the snow together... shirtless ;) ) there isn't a lot of emphasis on the characters' relationships with each other.
But it is only 8 episodes and one of the best kdramas I've ever seen, so I reckon it's worth a shot to see if it satisfies you. I reckon with kdrama this and School 2013 is probably the closest you're going to get.

message 14: by PuddleJumper (new)

PuddleJumper | 90 comments So this one isn't Kdrama but is still dorama and I cannot recommend it enough: Tumbling. Japanese drama, extremely dramatic, almost overly so but the show is like 95% bro feels and 5% hair. I highly recommend it!

I don't know what to watch first, is this haeven? :-D Thank you for the rec!

I'm also wondering which kdramas you stumbled across, Pupeez4eva?

I watched the Goblin. I think the Grim Reaper got off the hook too easily, but otherwise it was good!

message 16: by PuddleJumper (new)

PuddleJumper | 90 comments Hey guys got another rec! A Korean film called My Way

http://kissasian.com/Drama/My-Way

It's a WWII film and very high budget so I should warn you, this film is long and it is straight up brutal. The bromance takes a long time to develop, only emerging for the final half an hour, maybe forty minutes of the movie due to the whole enemies-turned-friends thing but honestly, it was worth the wait.

message 17: by Calls (new)

Calls | 487 comments Mod
About Tumbling? I'm just wondering how many times I will re-watch it! I loved it! Thank you for the great rec, PuddleJumper!

message 20: by Malene (new)

Malene | 5 comments Kdrama:

Sassy Go Go: The bromance between Kim Yeol and Seo Ha Joon is really touching. and the show itself is A+

I Remember You: good bromance later on.

Triangle: A show about three brothers reuniting.

Hwarang: has a bit of bromance.

Jdrama:

Aozora no Tamago: Beautiful friendship in this one. <3

Rinsho Hanzai Gakusha Himura Hideo no Suiri: Such a long title... But cute bromance in this <3 Kubota is one of my favorite japanese actors as well, so I really enjoyed this show.

Kaitou Tantei Yamaneko: My favorite jdrama of 2016, it's so funny, while still serious, and it has some great plot twists. I love the chemistry between the two male leads.

Ouroboros:the bromance in this is 10/10

Reading the description of Heartless City, I thought it was big on romance. It wasn't. It was a great bromance you should go watch. A tearjerker, probably.

PS: thank you for teaching me all those great new words! (such as tearjerker)

Cutter: Be warned, this is a really dark movie. But I love the bromance (romance?) in it regardless.

Wow impressive! Would you recommend The Heirs, High School Love On and Because It's The First Time? I was never sure about them so they're the only one's I haven't seen from that collab (and The Lover, haven't seen that one either)

I wouldn't really recommend either of those :/
But maybe it's just me wishing for a happy ending :D

In The Heirs, I focused on the relationship between the actual brothers, so there might have been some worth it bromance going on without me noticing (the main character has a suicidal friend with a happy ending)...

Hi! School was the classical "rivals in love" thing; it had some good eps, but not many (my notes say ep 9, 12 and 15 :D)

Because It's the First Time is really short and somehow same old love triangle...

Really pleased to hear you enjoyed White Christmas! It is my favourite kdrama of all time (immediately followed by I Remember You) and yes, there is nothing quite like that perpetually unimpressed expression Choi Ji Hoon wears :P I loved picking out little nuggets of bromance in that drama, whether it was between Moo Yul and Ji Hoon, Jae Kyu and Ji Hoon, Moo Yul and Jae Kyu or Mi Reu and everyone!

I don't know about No Breathing (but if the god himself Lee Jong Suk is in it then that will soon be rectified) but Descendants of the Sun does have some good bromance, though again it is very romance orientated. Still, the bromance that's there is good and it's pretty much the biggest kdrama ever and for good reason so I'd definitely recommend it! It's even getting a season 2

Oh yes, I totally forgot about King 2 Hearts! Yes, there is bromance, not heaps but enough to be satisfying I reckon, then again I have a thing for the bodyguard trope so that may have swayed my opinion :P speaking of bodyguard trope, new Kdrama has just aired it's first episode: Man to Man. The word bromance is literally in the synopsis! It looks very good!

Yeah, maybe don't... After watching the first 5 or 6 episodes, I have to declare the synopsis of Man to Man a lie - so far there's only a cringey, very forced romance in it and I don't see any major bromance blossoming in the near future. I am so let down :( Even Park Hae Jin couldn't save this for me
