Theodore Cohen (theodorejeromecohen) | 119 comments This one seems to have slipped through a crack...I noticed the correct cover is on the University of Wisconsin-Madison site, and I've updated it on my blog, but I just want to make sure that the correct cover is appearing everywhere it should. Here is my original submission of some days ago, which I have deleted:

I have upgraded the cover of my book, Pepe Builds a Nest, to reflect the award of Pacific Book Reviews STAR Award. The latest cover has been posted to Amazon's Kindle and can be seen here, where HTML code is available:

The latest cover uses an emblem that is entirely transparent (no white). It shortly will appear on the paperback edition as well.

The latest cover is shown on Amazon.com:

Ayshe | 3032 comments Someone had changed to be the one on amazon. I reverted the changes.

Changing covers on goodreads for books that have already been published is against policy. Instead, an alternate-cover edition may be added: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I created one for the Kindle: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... You can set it as the default if you want by following: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Theodore Cohen (theodorejeromecohen) | 119 comments Okay, I don't really understand all this business with the covers. Sorry. The latest cover, with the two emblems, is the one shown on Amazon and B&N. I read the piece about making it the default cover, but frankly, it made no sense to me. Sorry. Maybe I didn't get enough sleep last night (we lost power because of the storm during the night, so there were other things on my mind). It is what it is.

Thanks.

Ayshe | 3032 comments Goodreads is more like library than store.

I can see the previous cover here: http://www.pacificbookreview.com/pepe...

Users may want to shelve that specific edition/cover and they should be able to.

Theodore Cohen (theodorejeromecohen) | 119 comments Thanks. Nicole has the latest cover...she's going to post it today (according to an e-mail I've received). Her company's emblem was posted to the cover as a result of receiving an additional award from her book reviewer.

Ayshe | 3032 comments My point was that there has been actual publication with cover that didn't have the emblem.

Goodreads policy is to keep all published covers on the site, regardless of them being in print or not. Switching the cover to the most up-to-date listing on Amazon/B&N/.. is incorrect, it reflects on what users have shelved: https://www.goodreads.com/help/librar...

As the author, you have the ability to change which edition of the book is the default, which will come up in searches by title and show on your author profile.

Theodore Cohen (theodorejeromecohen) | 119 comments Okay, got it. Thanks. I update my covers if awards are received, which can be confusing. The text doesn't change, so it sounds kind of weird to call it a new "edition," but I understand what you are saying.
