I finished my first book of the year Vision in Silver by Anne Bishop.I enjoy this series a lot, looking forward to finding out how it will continue.
Good to hear Kris :)Today I finished The Fate of Ten: Lorien Legacies Book 6 by Pittacus Lore. I enjoy this series a lot, it is fun and has a lot of action. But the ending made me sad. Only one book left in the series.
Now I started Cinder and when I finish this book I will start Dead Until Dark :)
I didn't want to go outside with the snow, so I finished my third book this month Cinder by Marissa Meyer. It is a great start to the series, I had heard a little bit about the book but most of it was still a surprise. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
Do I need to read the short stories? I haven't read Glitches and The Little Android.

The short stories aren't a necessity, but they do give you Cinder's back story. I would recommend waiting and reading all the short stories in Stars Above.
Thanks, I didn't realize they where in Stars Above.I read Glitches yesterday, but will wait with the other stories.
I finished reading Dead Until Dark, I enjoyed the book but it is not near my favorites list. I'm not a fan of the insta-love, but enjoyed the mystery part.I liked Sam and Eric, I'm curious how the story will continue.
I read De dagen van het hert by Liliana Bodoc. The writing style was not for me.
I liked the story idea but for me it didn't work how it was written.
The original language was Spanish so I don't know how much was because of the writing or the translation.
I read two non series books:Sleutels van chaos by Hati Bell
Dagen van schaamte by Lieneke Dijkzeul
Both 3 stars by Dutch authors:
The first was a great story but the writing could have been better.
For the second the writing was very good but I didn't like the story.
Today I finished reading Mycket mer än så (Alone for the ride) by Sarah Dessen.A fun YA, with a little tear and a good ending.
I read Charmed Life by Dian Wynne Jones.A good middle grade book, although the characters weren't very likable.
Finished my 10th book of the year Up by Myrthe van der Meer.It is the second and last book in a series, so I finished my first series of the year :)
It is a very emotionally impressive book. It definitely gave me a lot to think about.
I had a great start of the year I managed to read 11 books in January. Yesterday I finished book 11 The Tournament at Gorlan by John Flanagan. I loved reading about a young Halt and Crowley. And it makes me want to read the Ranger Apprentice books again to see the difference between then and now.

I read her Power of Three book a few years ago and enjoyed it but haven't been able to get into any others. She's had a resurgence in popularity due to Harry Potter though.
