Veronica (ronireads13) | 816 comments This is my third attempt at the challenge. I didn't finish these past two years but am really going to try this year to finish it. I'm set on my first four books and will update once I plan the rest of the year.

message 3: by MJ (new)

MJ | 1017 comments The Kite Runner is on my reading list, but I don't think I will get to it this year.

Veronica (ronireads13) | 816 comments Thanks MJ and Katie!

message 5: by Jody (new)

Jody (jodybell) | 3477 comments I want to read The Kite Runner this year too, I've had it sitting on my shelf for a few years now.

message 6: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (ronireads13) | 816 comments I wanted to read it since last year and wanted to read it but never got to it. Hopefully you get to read it this year, too.

message 7: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (ronireads13) | 816 comments I completed planning my challenge for the year. May topics have multiple choices and I will choose when I get to that week. Of course, choices are subject to change. I have not chosen my books for a couple topics yet, but will at some point.

Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 1731 comments Ohh, I am happy to see that The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is on your plan. It is such a good book and very relevant to our everyday lives.

message 9: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (ronireads13) | 816 comments Thanks Anastasia. I've been wanting to read it for awhile and put it in my plan to finally do so.

message 10: by Jody (new)

Jody (jodybell) | 3477 comments It's really an amazing book, and very readable.

message 11: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (ronireads13) | 816 comments The first two months have been really slow, which I partially blame on The Fireman, which took me a long time to get through. There are still 10 months left of the year so plenty of time to keep reading.

message 12: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (ronireads13) | 816 comments I have been a bit slow on the reading front, only read 5 books in 3 months. This is also the busiest time of year at work for me so have not had as much time to read. That should change soon so I can get some reading mojo back!

message 13: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (tracyisreading) | 2573 comments This list....So many good choices, I love it :-)

I'm curious to hear what you think of Brooklyn, I read it last year and it just dragged for me. I thought the movie was so much better, and that NEVER happens.

message 14: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (ronireads13) | 816 comments Thanks Tracy:)
I enjoyed the movie as well. I'll let you know my take on the book.
