Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning
book:
Shadowfever
finished: 29.03.17
rating: *****
Finish: The book started slow in the beginning and it took me sometime to get into it. The more I read the better it got. The moment I was thinking how the story was going, it change so dramatically that I didn't see it coming. The book was full amazing twists, which makes it excellent read. I don't wanna give anything away, but the unseelie king will finally shows himself and someone who I thought through out the book is a good guy is not. If you haven't start the series, I highly recommend you read it :)

Hi all. Sorry I've been MIA for the past 10 or so days. I've been in the hospital. While climbing a ladder, I missed and fell down. My head was hit severely. It was sheer luck that the fall was not fatal. I've been in the ICU. I've now been sh8fted to the room and am currently out of danger. I can't say how thankful I am to even br alive! Currently, I've been given so much medicines, ive lost count. So pardon me if I'm not really coherent.

I will try to get a laptop tomorrow and update all the tracker stuff.

Tempest's Legacy (Jane True, #3) by Nicole Peeler
Book:
Tempest's Legacy
Rating: ****
Finished: 30.03.17
Review: When I was reading it I didn't liking it as much as when I finished it. The ending of it was worth everything. The main character belongs to secret world and with the team they are investigating murders/experiment subjects/kidnapping and try to find away to prove who did it (they all know who the guilty party is). In this book they end up doing it, but in the end there is a twist and I can't wait to read the next book. I added it in my Amazon basket already :D

Book:
Beautiful Disaster
Rating: *****
Finished: 04.04.17
Review: I love it! I had hard time putting it down :D Its a sweet romance story with lot of stupid drama in it. I tried not to think about the reasons the main characters had fights and kept in mind their age as well. The story went on fast and there is second book in the series, which is already in my shopping cart. Its a light and fun book.

Shelf #7: Futuristic
Rarely Pure and Never Simple (Variant Configurations #1) by Angel Martinez
Book: Rarely Pure and Never Simple by Angel Martinez
Date Completed: April 02
Rating: 4 stars
REVIEW:

I liked this book. I liked the paranormal elements and the different abilities of varients most. The hurt-comfort aspects of this book were well done, espcially dominic's OCD. What I didn't like was the unnecessary emotional angst created by including Shudder halfway through the journey.

But I'll definitely read the next book when it comes out.

Shelf #8: Snarky Heroine + Snarky
Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead
Book: Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead
Date Completed: April 04
Rating: 4 stars
REVIEW:

Talk about being confused by a book. On one hand, I loved it. I loved the murder of paranormals -Demons, Vampires, Angels, etc aspects of the story a lot. It was interesting that Georgina, a succubus, also worked in a bookstore. One of the love interests, Seth, was also an author Georgina was a fan of. I liked this aspect too.

But this bring us to what I didn't like- the love triangle. I hate love triangles. I seriously did not know who to root for. I liked both roman and Seth in different ways. Which... maybe makes sense that Georgina too feels that way.

I also hate betrayal. Cheat or betray, and that character, and may be that book is on my blacklist forever. So I was pissed at the betrayal here. But I guess it makes sense, considering the title of this book. Also no characters where wither completely good or completely bad. Bad people here had some good in them and good people did bad things. so much so I couldn't really cheer any particular character. I couldn't even hate the murderers. So considering that aspect, the author has done a wonderful job!

I'll read the next book. But I'm sure there going to be angst involved in the next book!

Book:The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater
Date Completed: April 04
Rating: 5 stars

I thought I would have grown up a bit for a YA book. but I still loved this book the second time around. And I totally ship Ronan-Adam! I love Steifvater's writing style and the rich atmospheric setting of this book and this series.

Hi ladies! I'm back again... Well, almost. Thanks you for your concern. I am getting better now, though I'm still in the hospital. It would take some more days before I get okay enough to be released home.

On a positive note, I've finished 3 of my pending books and have review them! Yay! Now just two more to go. I have already started Etched in Bone (The Others, #5) by Anne Bishop , which I'm going to read for my Next-In-Series book. I still haven't figured out a 5 stars shelf book yet. One thing at a time, right?

What happened to Kathleen? I'm still a bit wonky, so correct me if I've missed something, but Kathleen hasn't posted her book choices for the past 3 shelves, right?

Kathleen where are you? Could you please post books that you've chosen and their reviews if you've finished them?

I can't wait to read the next book. I'm also excited to learn more about Julius' siblings.

Review - I... am totally wrecked right now. I'm so madly in love with this series. I reread the first book several times before moving on to the second when it was already out. I just can't get enough of the characters and this world. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Lakeside. Meg, Simon and Sam... and Skippy and Henry and Vlad and Merri Lee and Tess and and and. I love them all and I know I'll love whoever Anne Bishop creates next but I just can't right now! Love this series, highly recommend it.
Those last few paragraphs <3 What a cruel, yet satisfying ending.

Shelf #10: Next in series
Etched in Bone (The Others, #5) by Anne Bishop
Book:Etched in Bone by Anne Bishop
Date Completed: April 07
Rating: 4 stars
REVIEW:

As an individual book, I liked this book a lot. But considering the story developments in the whole series, I felt this book was just a platform for the next books to come. It did nothing much plot wise. Several questions are left unanswered. There are plot devices nd plot holes, that I think are left for the next books to come (with a different protagonist). And I do have a feeling we will meet many of these characters again in the next books, even if only in passing.

Likes:
+ The dynamics between the female pack (oh, and also the police pack) and the Others changes. There is almost a camaraderie between them that is fun to see.

+ I am happy for Skippy! Finally, something good for him!
+ The turkey hunting sceme and the subsequent pot luck get-together was awesome!
+Meg's howling at the final scenes was a awesome. And funny as hell.

Dislikes:
+Cyrus Montgomery and family. I get that the Elders wanted to observe how his actions affected everybody in general, but allowing Cyrus to go this far was a bit annoying. It comes back a full circle. It was Meg in danger in the beginning and even now!

I wish we could see the developments in Bennett. I'm interested in knowing Jana, Barb and the rest of the humans are getting alone with the Others in Bennett. I would also love to see the wolves (Hope's acquaintences) learning to draw. I do hope we can get to see some of these in the next books.

But no matter what, this series still remains one of my top favorite series so far!

Kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 206 comments Book: Prodigy by Marie Lu
Date Finished: March 12
Rating: 3
Shelf: Futuristic

Thoughts: I think this book helped me understand a bit why the series ended the way it was (yes I read all the spoilers for the last book). Good thing I read her Elites trilogy prior to this because I liked it better! I liked the political turmoil better here than it was in the 1st book but wasn't invested in the loveline between the two MCs. At this rate I'm just trying to finish the series but not really feeling compelled to pick up the last book ASAP.

Kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 206 comments I'll be reading Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows, #2) by Leigh Bardugo for next in series, Champion (Legend, #3) by Marie Lu for series finished and Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë for 5 stars.

Kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 206 comments Book: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Date Finished: March 20
Rating: 3
Shelf: Snarky Heroine

Thoughts: I can understand why this book has won many readers. I understand. And unfortunately, I'm one of the few that's not really into this kind of humor. My brain processes it as yes it's supposed to be funny if you look at it from that perspective but as I'm not into THAT kind of humor it was just mere words and I weren't really laughing. Very nice take and unique story though!
