For Kickass Heroine I'll read
I'm more then half done with my Assassin book. Every time I read epic fantasy it takes for ever to finish, but the story is interesting. With my other book I'll be done today or tomorrow.

Book: The Selection
Finished: 27.04.17
Rating: *****
Review: This went past so fast and I enjoyed it every minute. I didn't expect to like it as much as I do. I love the style the author has wrote it and the story reminded me bit of Hunger Games. The book takes place in Dystopia world and there is Selection (finding a new queen). Among other things there is rebel fights and I think something really interesting will come out in the end. The first book didn't have abrupt ending, but I still wanna see what happens in the next one.

Review - ....I have a new book to add to my favorites list :O I loved everything about this book and am dying to read the next one asap. I don't read a lot of fantasy romance but I'm on such a high right now that that's all I want to read.
I loved all of the characters! Cat and Griffin are amazing and I love them but I want spin offs for all of the others! And prequels. I want those too. I would love to learn more about Cat's life at the circus and the freakin' cool characters there.

O.o It's a lot of fun! Psych is quirky and can be a little overly goofy at times but I love the friendships and it's a genuinely fun show.

Review - I'm ready for for White Hot, please! So sad it's at the end of the month but that's better than years away like it has been :( So glad I reread this. I remembered all the important parts but had forgotten some of the character nuances like Grandma Frida's need for pictures.
I always love everything the Ilona Andrews team writes so it's not really a surprise that I love this book and everything about it. Amazing cast of characters! Amazing story!

Book: A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle
Date Completed: May 01
Rating: 3 stars
REVIEW:
The first Sherlock Holmes book ever. It didn't have as much of the awesomeness that other Sherlock Holmes' novels have. It was fun to see Holmes and Watson's initial phases. The first part was fun. The second part was the back story of the murderer which explained why the murderer did the murders he did.Though it was nice to know the reasons and justifications behind his retributions, it felt superfluous to the story. What could have been explained in a couple of paragraphs was lengthened unnecessarily.
Still, I'm glad I read this book.

This is a tough one! One book I had was on 'owned not yet read' and another was on 'owned not red yet'.... *sigh* :P I am going to wait to pick a book since neither of those worked, and new calls for Shelf Pursuit and Pass the Parcel are on Friday :) Gotta double up!

Game Night (offshoot of A Million More Pages). Shelf Pursuit is a team challenge version of the board game and to fill up the pie pieces there are categories like romance genre, black cover etc. It's been fun but some of the categories are extremely tough. Another team had 'baby on the cover'.

Can we skip reading for a shelf? lol. I noticed owned not yet read is in a corner and we don't really need the corner to form the needed shape...
Nope. According to the new rules added this round, even if we finish the pattern for BINGO, unless all the previous shelves are finished and stamped, a team cannot win.
So we cannot skip any shelf!
So we cannot skip any shelf!
Update with my Assassin book. I'm 79% done. From now on I'm not picking any books longer the 300 pages. I'm sorry it takes me this long to read :|For the next shelf I'll be reading

There is one team who is only one call away from bingo (magic).
Kickass Heroine:
Book: The Mage in Black
Finished: 06.05.17
Ratting: ****
Review: I didn't like the second book as much as the first one, thats why it gets 4 stars. The main character sometimes was acting for me bit like a teen, not at all like kick ass vampire. In this book Sabina goes to New York to meet her twin sister and someone tries to kill more then once. She also meets with someone from her past and they work out their issues. My favorite part was the ending, because it ended with a bang and makes me wanna pick up the next book. Overall it was a great read and I'll continue with the series :)
Assassins:
Book: Blood Song
Finished: 10.05.17
Rating: *****
Review: This book was amazing, if you like epic fantasy. The story takes place in The Unified Realm and is concentrated around the orders. It tells the story of a boy and how he becomes a worrier and the things he faces. There is also more mystical part and there is a bigger game played, which only partly came out in this book. I do wanna see where the story goes and will be picking up the second book.

Book: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
Date Completed: May 06
Rating: 5 star
REVIEW:
I was going to read a different book for this shelf, but I was watching the HP movie the other way, and it made me nostalgic for this book. I ended up reading this instead! I think I've read this first book especially, at least 6 or more times. Loved it every single time. I love Rowling's writing style and humour!

Shelf #16: Owned, Not Read Yet

Book: The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan
Date Completed: May 10
Rating: 4 star
REVIEW:
This was a typical Rick Riordan book. It was humourous, fun, and quick to read. I was wary of reading this because I knew almost nothing regarding Norse Mythology, unlike Greek and Roman Mythologies, which I'm familiar with. In that aspect, I'm glad Riordan decided to write about Norse Mythology!
This book, however, did feel similar to the Percy Jackson series and the Heroes of Olympus series. Rick Riordan should change the pattern of his future books and series. Teenage protagonists, mythological problems, quests, friends, etc etc is beginning to feel like Riordan's only idea.
However familiar it felt, I did enjoy this book. Not to mention, it is set in Boston (which I'm currently visiting). Whenever a place or road or locale was mentioned, I was frequently distracted, trying to match them with the places I've been and roads I knew! I've never read a book set in a place familiar to me, so I loved it!

Just an hour left for the next shelf call!
If 'magic' is called, it is the winning category for Team 4.
We need either 'Angels' and 'Shifters' or 'Series-to-start', 'Steampunk' and 'Magic' to win.
Let's hope either Angels or Shifters gets called today!
