Quick synopsis: The Orphan Keeper is the story of Taj Rowland, a boy who was kidnapped as a child in India, sold to a Christian orphanage, and then adopted by a couple in the United States--based on true events.
- What are you reading for this category? The Husband Secret by Liane MoriartyDid you know of this book already or was it a complete discovery? I had seen the book in my good read feed but my friend recommended the author because she had read Big Little Lies and said she was an awesome author.
- Who did you get your recommendation from? A friend that I teach school with. We both read a lot and compete against each other on how many books we have read. (Friendly of course). We have similar tastes in books.
- Do you often ask others what they read to discover new books? I love to talk about books with anyone and everyone so I often get recommendations from others.
- How was the book? I did enjoy the book. When I found out the secret I almost didn't want to finish the book but I am glad I did. The ending was really good. I enjoyed the epilogue the most from the book.

- Do you often ask others what they read to discover new books? Often! It I like the person and their interests are similar to mine I really like to get recommendations. With my good friends I like to ask, "so tell me what you are reading....?"
- How was the book? So far excellent story. It has quite a bit of foul language. The story is sci-fi and is a 80's kids must read. it seems to mention or reference everything 80's.
"Cast no shadows" by E V Thompson. Recommended by someone at church who knew I loved reading. I have a habit when visiting peoples homes I look at their bookshelves. I ask about books that stand out to me. It was a good book based on a prison in Dartmoor UK that once house French and American prisoners of war.

Did you know of this book already or was it a complete discovery?
It was a complete discovery.
- Who did you get your recommendation from?
A friend recommendation on goodreads.
- Do you often ask others what they read to discover new books?
I like to see what my friends are reading on goodreads as then I can research the books and check out reviews etc to see if I want to read them too.
- How was the book?
It is a really sweet picture book. The story is about a girl who gives away everything she owns yet is rewarded in the end. It teaches that we can always find someone with less than us and that a cheerful giver will be blessed. I also loved the illustrations they felt so warm and loving.
