Hey Sam! I'm afraid I don't have much in the way of website advice, but I definitely think it's okay to have one site for all. Also, I know that there are several seller sites out there, but I don't know the policies regarding how many you can sell through at the same time. Have you considered setting up an Etsy as well as eBay? Might bring extra exposure.

My idea was to have a welcome page on the front with the choices to enter the book website, the jewelry store, or the mini paint store. Actually, I'm not sure what I want to do is possible because I don't know anything about stores, but I'll keep learning. Hugs

I think it's a great idea to have the other items on your website. I've read that branding is important and the focus of the branding should be more on the author than the genre or books. So, the website wouldn't be about books and jewelry and paintings, it would be about Sam...and these are the wonderful projects she has going :). If I were looking at a website for an author and saw a heading for handcrafted jewelry by the author, I would be curious enough to click and see what jewelry was available, especially if it involved being inspired by the stories. And vice versa. I don't know much about how online stores work but I have several friends who have Etsy stores and they seem to enjoy it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do and above all else, I hope you feel better and are able to find relief from the pain and medical bills.

I'm so nervous, I didn't think about the website being about me and what I'm doing. I was thinking in terms of products, turning it into something commercial. Hello All,Popping in to say I'm sorry I've been much less verbally supportive than usual. Been pressing the Like buttons, but not been my usual chatty self. An illness flared up months ago and it's painful. That in addition to my bone and joint pain makes it difficult for me to get anything done, even sleep. All this has increased my anxiety and worsened my depression.
I read all the posts daily and am doing my best to keep up with the group. I continue to read and post reviews here and on Amazon, though I think I'm reading slower than usual.
I miss you all and hope you don't forget me.

Hi & Hugs to All,It feels to me like this year just flew by, but a lot has happened. Earlier this year I was considering creating a website and wondering if I should keep my crafts and books separate. Well, Since I've honestly been too damned depressed this year to do any writing besides making notes as they came to mind, I put my effort into making just a craft website. Me, technically phobic and clumsy! When I see a red light on a PC I scream! Well, there was plenty of ranting and crying and swearing and gnashing of teeth, but I finally have my craft website open for business. I still have work to do because my shipping plugin doesn't always calculate the proper fees and I know I'm losing out on orders because of that. I've tried two different plugins and one was worse than the other. I need to find a solution fast or I'm going to fail.
Now that I feel physically healthier and I've been cheered up by people's encouraging comments about my website, I actually have been thinking about my books a lot in the past few weeks... The YA PNR in particular because I almost finished that last year, but realized I needed to shove the end out and make way for more story! I actually look forward to getting back into it! I'm going to begin by reading what I've written so far, as it's been a while. Editing my work will get my mind churning about my story and characters.
