Hi Everyone!!I want to let you know how excited I've been waiting for this event. I'll be supporting you by downloading as many books as I can and adding them to my indie reading roster. It's a long list, so please be patient. I will then post reviews here on GR and on Amazon. I wish you all sales and success! Hugs!!
Thanks for the hugs Jane and C.B! More Hugs!!Jane... How did you know I have a thing for wolves? ; )

I'm psychic. Maybe... but Dog keeps me in order
Annie, Awe, shucks! Hugs!!Christina, I can't wait to be in one of your events! Hugs!!
Jane, Duh, of course Dog would know! I tell him everything!! Hugs!!
I'll add to the Sam love, but mostly for being a rescue dog mom, which is a damn noble thing to be (but also mostly for the author support)! This really is the best group I've ever been a part of. Everybody's here to build each other up, and that's a rarity, especially among creative types. I really like it here!
Sam (Rescue Dog Mom & Writer) wrote: "No, no!! I... I... ah... *facepalm*"Now she's covering her nose. Perhaps we should come back for hugs after we shower?
No, no, NO!! I mean... I'm just get so happy when people say they love me! I get weepy... and emotional... and stuff...
Sam (Rescue Dog Mom & Writer) wrote: "No, no, NO!! I mean... I'm just get so happy when people say they love me! I get weepy... and emotional... and stuff..."Ha, yes! And we love you even when you get weepy and emotional.
Denae wrote: "Ha, yes! And we love you even when you get weepy and emotional..."Hi Denae! That's a relief because I'd hate to think it would drive you away! Hugs!!
Group hug! Though I warn you, I probably smell worse than Dwayne after a day on the sofa messing with this site. ;-p
Dog sends hugs and kisses and brings you your own basket of warm doughnuts and a pitcher of milk straight from Daisy the cow. X
Oooh! Warm baked goods and milk. How comforting on this completely crappy day we're having here. It's bitter cold and we're having a slush storm. I know it's April Fool's Day, but I'm not the least bit amused! Harumph!!Please hug Dog and Daisy the cow for me. I think cows are beautiful. Say... you don't happen to have a whiskey distillery on your property for later this evening, do you? I enjoy a good scotch whiskey. Hugs!! ; D
Jane wrote: "Bottle of Talisker on its way ma'am"Ooooh, very nice! Thank you very, very much! Hugs!!
Hick... good stuff! ; D
Lyra wrote: "Hugs and sloppy doggy licks! Not that I have a dog... Um... Anyway... Hugs! :P"Awe, thank you very much, Lyra! Uhm... does your neighbor have a dog? Hugs!!
Thank you G.G. and Christina! That was taken about 5 years ago on vacation in CA with Mom & Dad. Technically, she's my step-mom, but we don't that. She's a lovely person and a wonderful mother! Hugs!!
Christina wrote: "Suam has a fancy new pic and a lovely smile!"G.G. wrote: "That is what I just told her! A smile that could brighten up a whole room. :)"
So much this!!! You're freakin' adorbs, Miss Sam. Pretty much exactly how I pictured ya haha!
***mwahhh***
Oh,gosh, thank you, how sweet of you to say! I'm blushing. It's not me, it's them. Whenever I'm around Mom & Dad, I can't stop smiling, and I don't want to! I love them so much!
Curled up in a ball on the sofa struggling with an idea and I could really use your honest opinions, please.Due to a physically painful health issue, I remain unable to obtain a job outside the home. Drowning in medical debt, I desperately need to earn money, as to selling my jewelry and collectibles on eBay isn't enough. In the past I have crafted and sold handmade jewelry to coworkers. I've always enjoyed creating such gifts for family and friends and have had a large stash of supplies on hand for years. This week I put together a bunch of gold and silver plated steel bookmarks with various charms. I was thinking of creating a website on which to sell them rather than sell them on eBay.
Here's my dilemma. I really and truly do intend to publish my books in various genres and would like to have an author website. Do I create one artistic website with a welcome page where a visitor will choose to learn about my books or shop for my jewelry? Or do I keep the websites separate because readers will be put off by me trying to sell them something other than my book? And, no, I do not intend to offer my books for sale on my website; just info and a link to Amazon.
Also, I plan to use WordPress and BlueHost and am techno-phobic. Is setting up a store and website using these services considered easy enough?
Your thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated. I remain nervously knotted in the hedgehog position. Thank you for your consideration. Hugs
Hey, Sam! So sorry to hear about the health issues and how the money end can really bog you down. Sending hugs and good wishes! For the website part, I also use Bluehost and Wordpress and find it fairly easy to run. Anything I get confused or wanna add I just Google. Google is my best friend:) However I don't sell anything from my website so I can't add input on that. I don't see an issue with using one website. If you're using the same name, will it confuse a buyer if they go to your one website looking for jewelry and find books and vice versa? And maybe it won't, just throwing ideas and thoughts out there. I like making things easy and I think maintaining one website would be better. But then again it depends on how you plan to market as well...haha I am no help. I say one website. Final answer!
By the way, that's cool you make jewelry! Go with your gut.
Sending you warm hugs and well wishes / prayers. I'm so sorry to hear about the health issues. I toss my hat in the one-website-to-rule-them-all ring. Show off what a multi-talented multi-faceted woman you are. Plus it means only one website to manage! Who knows, someone may come to your site intrigued by your jewelry and find out 'wow! books too?' Bonus points!
Big hugs from me and Dog. And I'm up for one web site fits all. I think the opportunities for cross-pollination are enormous. Take care sweets
Alex wrote: "I can't vouch for the ease of setting up a store page on a website, I've never looked into it, but I personally don't see anything wrong with you having one site to highlight yourself, author and j..."Thank you, Alex. I've seen YouTube videos where you can purchase a pre-programmed store package, but also wonder how safe that is. Hugs

Thank you, Amanda. For decades I've been mainly stringing beaded necklaces and bracelets... some earrings. I got into bookmarks when they became popular. Even as a kid I was making macrame necklaces and bracelets. I'm just crazy for color! Hugs

Thank you, Jessica. It would be easier to keep everything together. I have actually considered adding mini paintings as a third item. Hugs
