- What are you reading?Mrs. Drew Plays Her Hand by Carla Kelly
- Why is this your favorite?
I love the storyline in this book, and the characters are so real, with flaws and preferences. I love the way Roxie does everything she can for her children and doesn't complain, and I absolutely adore the character of Winn, he's pretty close to perfect. I usually read this book when I need something romantic, fluffy, or cheerful - and I read it at least twice a year!
- Do you have a favorite place to read?
I love to read in the bathtub, but I also like to snuggle up next to my husband while he's watching football.
- How is the book?
I think the fact that I read it twice a year would indicate that I love it! I will let you know that if you want to read it, I recommend the newer version with the white cover. When the book was originally published, the only publisher putting out romance books was Harlequin, so the original versions had some R-rated scenes. Kelly has since gone through and re-written her books now that romance novels are more readily accepted at different publishers and people have learned that sex is not needed to sell.
- What are you reading?Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery
- Why is this your favorite?
I love Anne's optimism and imagination. I can't help but laugh at the crazy situations she gets herself into.
- Do you have a favorite place to read?
No. Just about anywhere quiet will do.
- How is the book?
I love it! This time around I read it (actually listened to an audiobook) with my 10 year daughter. We started listening to it on a long drive one day and she loved it so much that she would ask if we could listen to more. It's wonderful to share a classic with your children and have them love it as much as you do!
I love Anne! I can't wait until I can introduce her fun and quirky nature to my daughter. She is almost 8 now, and we've been slowly working through the second Harry Potter.
What are you reading? I read the Giver by Lois Lowry- Why is this your favorite? I really love this book just because the message is so powerful about how memories are so important and really provide us with a sense of who we are.
- Do you have a favorite place to read? I have a chair in my room that has a foot rest and a lamp. It is my spot and I love it. I turn on soft music, sit in my chair and listen to music and relax.
- How is the book? The book was awesome. I read it out loud to my students this year and it was a neat experience to follow along with them in the story even though I already knew what was going to happen. Children's reactions are so fun to experience.

Almost a bit ashamed, read The Host by Stephanie Meyer. I'm really not entirely sure how it happens, but once a year or so I find myself picking the book up again and getting sucked into just as much as the first time. I love reading in the shower! My mother used to get so mad because all my books would have waver pages from the damp. Now I read on my otterboxed iPad kindle so I don't have that problem though my husband still raises an eyebrow whenever he catches me!
Anyways, love the story, the internal dialogue, the kind of alien the book deals with, the power of humanity. And the love stories are just sweet icing on top.
Desires of our hearts by Sariah S Wilson. This was the first scriptural based novel I read and loved it. It really made Alma the Elder come to life for me instead of just being a name in the Book of Mormon. I always love reading in bed, I can't go to sleep without reading a chapter.

Audible is having a sale on some classic children's books. I bought about six of them yesterday. I have read most of them, but they are favorites, and I will love hearing them.
