Meria- (view spoiler)[I'm glad she finally told Mather her feelings. A part of me is really hoping that she doesn't die at the end of this whole thing. (hide spoiler)]

Something that's bugging me is (view spoiler)[where in the world are Oana and Rares? Or at least the people they promised to bring with them to help! Also, when is she going to tell Sir. I get that he isn't her dad and he is her general and all that, but I would like he is show a little more emotion for her before she goes off to die! (hide spoiler)]

Emotions- (view spoiler)[loved the wedding! Part of me was hoping we would see Meria and Mather getting married before she goes off but at least we got to see everyone a little bit happy! (hide spoiler)]

Okay, back to reading. I would like to finish this tonight but I'm guessing that wont happen. :)

Thoughts (view spoiler)[I really enjoyed this book. It took me awhile to get into it and at time I felt like getting to the end happened too fast. Most of the tasks came easy when they got into to cave. I know she was the person for the job of doing that but it still seemed to easy.

I also didn't want her to die but for some reason that seemed too easy as well. I guess on these things I'm too hard to please haha

Over all I'm happy with the ending and happy with this series. (hide spoiler)]

yikes, I remember very little of the first ones, even going through my other buddy reads...

Mather(view spoiler)[ I remember Theron being decay and him betraying Meira. I remember Mather. In book one, I wasn't a huge fan of his. but in book 2 I was so sad that he was hurting but he spent so little time in the book

Ha! I completely agree with everything you posted!

then the tasks - once they got there - seemed so easy. for all their struggle, it seemed like they just walked right through these challenges.

and I didn't want her to die either so I'm glad she didn't. I had hoped what Mather had hidden in his bag would help - I knew it was important so I was glad they explained it. (hide spoiler)]
