There are 6 volumes out now, or two larger hardback collections divided into Year One and Year Two.

Are there any comics left to read?

My very large TBR pile says, "Yes. Very much so."

Thanks for sending me down a linguistic rabbit hole--I had actually never heard that phrase before.

I think I could've actually more this past year, actually! I had two games I got really into this year, which really cut into my reading time: Civilization V (with all expansions) and Crusader Kings II (with most expansions). And I now drive to work instead of taking the train.

All the shorter fiction I read definitely impacted it--my Goodreads page count is the least it's been since 2008 (I didn't break 50k pages--I had almost 64k last year).

It also helps that I have a job in which I can read at work on the evening & weekend shifts.

Thanks for letting me know! However, I will probably still wait... I've found that I really prefer completed series or really episodic series: I really enjoyed Brubaker's Fatale and Criminal series, but I'm not going to continue with like, Bitch Planet for a long time, since it only came out with 1 volume so far.

Brendan (mistershine) | 930 comments I read 11 of the monthly picks for an average score of 3.27. The best were Radiance and The Fifth Season. Worst were Time Traders, ADSoM, The Rook, FVaFS. I only read 7 of the books last year so its hard to compare.

In total for the year (not counting multi-author anthologies): 51 books read. 28 by women authors (avg score 3.86), 23 by men (avg score 3.52).

Favourite book I read in 2016: probably either Radiance or Cyteen.
Favourite sci-fi published in 2016: Too Like the Lightning
Favourite fantasy published in 2016: The Weaver.

All my favourite books this year were written by women. Men better step up their game.

Yeah, I get that. Bitch Planet, Vol. 2: President Bitch is finally coming out at the end of the month, after being delayed several times over 6 months.
