Which is better? The Lunar Chronicles or The Mortal Instruments?

I haven't read the mortal instruments yet, but I've read the clockwork prince and it was okay, but for me the lunar chronicles was better because it was quicker and easier to read, but I guess that comes down to what story you prefer to read
Lunar Chronicles hands down

The Lunar Chronicles is a lot better than The Mortal Instruments.
I think I like the Mortal Instruments a bit more. Both series are amazing!
I've read both and there is no doubt in my mind that The Lunar Chronicles are by far the better books. The plot line was more interesting, and predictable in a good way. I was nice to think ahead and be right. The mortal instruments just kept going! I wanted to know what happened but the way that we got there was really boring to me. But that's just my opinion.
Seeing as I hated City of Bones so much that I didn't finish it and now I am about to finish the Lunar Chronicles I would dare to say the the Lunar Chronicles are better.

Lunar Chronicles, although I love both.
Personally I prefer the Lunar Chronicles hands down I have never been able to get into the Mortal Instruments series.
The Mortal Instruments!!! I tried the first book of the Lunar Chronicles thinking it would be amazing because it was so overhyped but I hated it, actually hated it and I don't hate many books. However, the Mortal Instruments I loved! If you love books with interesting characters and complex relationships this one is definitely better. The protagonist was actually likable and relatable and the romance between Clary and Jace is pretty cute. It is filled with hilarious dialogue and characters and I think anyone would love it
The Mortal Instruments. I like the development of the side characters better. People like Simon and Magnus get their own books and i think that is a smart move by the author.

definitely the Lunar Chronicles. MI became somewhat boring because it had a lot of romance drama and I'm not the romantic type. yet it was not so bad, but when I discovered TLC I felt like I had been wasting my time and money on MI. in MI i hated the main characters, it was the sidekicks that made some sense. in TLC every character is just great!
I personally love both. I think that the Lunar Chronicles is a really quick read but also exciting with a lot of great characters. But for me TMI will always be something important because it was like the first series I cried about. :) (and in TMI are more books)

The lunar chronicles for me, but that's because I'm not romantic enough to love TMI the only relationship i loved was Simon and Izzy, while in TLC, every ship was great except maybe -I'll get hate for this- wolflet.
These are my favorite books series(with Harry Potter) so it’s hard to choose. But I have to say that as much as I love The Mortal Instruments with all my heart, THE LUNAR CHRONICLES has a better story in general. Every single book, characters and ships (except maybe Wolf and Scarlet, they are getting on my nerves a little bit) are so cool, interesting and original. In The Mortal Instruments, there is some moments that are kind of long and useless. I am not the biggest fan of Clace, which is the principal couple, too.

I have read both series and it really depends. they are both different so you kind of have to decide on what you want to read. I personally chose the Mortal Instruments.
Lunar Chronicles, no question about it! I personally really didn't like the Mortal Instruments series (I only read the first book fully), but I still think Lunar Chronicles is so much better in terms of the story and characters.
I have read both and The Mortal Instruments is one of my favorites. Way better! So much more exciting I think.
Mortal Instruments. I read both and I am insanely in love with the Lunar Chronicles series. Besides Marissa Meyer is my favorite author. but when it comes down to it, there was more romance in the Mortal Instruments than in the Lunar Chronicles. but they are both amazing in action too. In my opinion, I liked the idea of demon hunters, demons, vampires, faeries, and werewolves a tad more than cyborgs and Lunar people and abilities and planets. Sorry Marissa Meyer!
I tried repeatedly to get into the Mortal Instruments and just can't seem to get into it. I personally loved the Lunar Chronicles so the two just dont compare in my eyes.
MORTAL INSTRUMENTS! HANDS DOWN! I absolutely hated the lunar chronicles, I read Cinder and started reading Scarlet, but i couldn't get into it- ahh it was horrible
The Lunar Chronicles. The lunar chronicles has much better characters, it pulls you in. I love this book series so much and if your looking to read it, You should definitely.
No, I agree about Wolf and Scarlet. Weren't my favorite actually, but the others like Cress and Thorne were really good. I think TMI still wins though.
Lunar Chronicles It has way better character and the villain in Lunar chronicles has a better background then the mortal instruments.

I tried reading Mortal Instruments a long time ago and couldn't get into it. The Lunar Chronicles is better hands down because of the excellent plot, incredible villains, and sci-fi elements. I also enjoyed Marissa Meyer's take on fairy tales and how she took some of my favorites and made them even better. I'm not a big Scarlet/Wolf fan just because it felt a little too insta-love for me, but they sort of grow on you after awhile.
I was honestly a little bit skeptical about the lunar chronicles because I'm not a sci-fi person and cringe at the word "cyborg." But now you'll find me being the first one praying that they make a movie out of this! The characters are all very well-developed and the plot is much more interesting than that of the mortal instruments (I love this book too, but lunar chronicles is sacred text)
Definitely Lunar Chronicles! When I finished one I couldn't wait to start the next one.You should read Fairest after you finish the series. It tells Queen Levana's story --- no excuse, but you'll see why she is so selfish and wicked.
They are both amazing, and worth the read!

I've read "Cinder" & "Scarlet" twice.The Mortal Instruments … wanted to read so bad but cant seem to get past the 1st few chapters... forget bout multiple books
Even though I am not far into the Lunar Chronicles .... but I do love it so far. And would probably pick The Lunar Chronicles over the Mortal Instruments series. But I still love both series and hope the authors continue to write such amazing books.I did start a Lunar Chronicles Readalong if anyone is interested to join. My group is small.. but I hope it grows fast :)

I would totally do both. I love The Lunar Chronicle's supporting characters and villain backstory a little bit more. But the Mortal Instruments was such a good plot with unexpected twists and turns. So I would totally do both.
