"See you tomorrow," he said and gave her a smile as she left. Then he flopped back on his bed and winced because of the ache still in his back. He would need just some time to finish healing the rest of the way, so he would spend that time sleeping.

Everleigh had just left the dorms when Raelynn slipped into them, flipping off a few of the students that looked at her for too long or whatever. She knew she had this.. exotic thing going on with both her appearance and attitude, but she didn’t particularly want to be friends with any of the younger kids. They were so full of energy- and not the kind that she would enjoy stealing from them. It exhausted her. She knocked twice on Rowans door before she leaned against the doorframe, giving out a sigh. “The apple of your eye has arrived, my dear friend. The hottest piece of meat this school has to offer. The definition of beauty. And she comes bearing gifts other than her existence.”

Rowan groaned and sat up in bed again. No rest for him, then. "Come on in," he called to the door, trying not to show how truly garbage like he felt. He liked hanging with Raelynn too but he was...so exhausted of just existing. Feeling bad all around. "What did you bring me?"

Raelynn stepped inside, shut the door behind her, and then flopped down on the bed besides him. “I brought you some kind of potion that speeds up the healing for vampires and stuff. And if you’re still into that whole feeling like shit to make yourself feel better- which, by the way, doesn’t make any sense- I made them add something so that it tastes more like crap.” She said, handing him the small vial before she shrugged. “I also brought us something to drink but I’m not sure if they gave you any medicine or if you cared for that stuff. I hope they did, honestly, because you look like crap.”
She had heard about his little fight earlier- bad news travelled very fast amongst those capable of typing with both thumbs- and she’d also seen the videos. It was an interesting fight, sure, but she also knew he had held back a lot.

Rowan gave her a look when she said she added something to it. "Great, thanks," he said drily but took the vial anyway. He made a face at the color of it, swirling it around rather than just drinking it. The thought was nice but he...didn't really want to drink it. "No she didn't give me any medicine. Just patched me up and gave me some blood. But thanks for your eternally polite compliments." He shook his head, and then sighed. "Why are you here? Just to feed me garbage?"

“Serves you right, for letting him hit you the way he did.” She replied, then shrugged a a shoulder as she pulled the bottle of liquor out of her backpack and handed it over to him. “I dunno, I figured you’d be bored with bed rest and stuff. Besides, the party I was supposed to be going to sounds like it’s going to be garbage so there’s no point in going there.”

He made a face. "You saw that?" he asked, trying not to groan. That meant there was a video going around somewhere. He didn't say anything more about it, because he had been holding back but he didn't want to tell her that. Especially because after, he had wished he hadn't. "I haven't gotten much bedrest yet, so... But hey, if you want to ditch a party I won't stop you."

“Of course I did. It’s all over the school.” She said, refraining from pulling her phone out and showing him because he didn’t look very happy about it. “Thanks. But who was he, anyways? I’ve never seen him before.”

Rowan could think of a good few choice words to describe him but he didn't have the energy to get worked up again. "He's my cousin's ex boyfriend. And apparently Terra's new one. But he's a jerk. He deserved worse than what he got."

Raelynn had only nodded along when he mentioned he was his cousins ex before she groaned at the mention of Terra. “Great, so it was a petty fight that you allowed him to win.” She said, then leaned back against his pillows as she considered what she’d been told. “This is going to do no good to your reputation, dude.”

"He did not win," Rowan said, scowling. Last he remembered, he'd been on top about to bash that guy's head in. Or maybe not quite that violent but it felt like that. But in the end he wasn't sure he would have been able to end it in any severe way. It just wasn't who he was without the vicious bloodlust.

“But you also didn’t assert dominance.” She replied, snorting as she reached into her pocket and pulled out some… skittles? She didn’t know how they got there but it was a pleasant surprise. “You allowed a few punches to slip in and he didn’t look defeated. Still angry and rabid-like.”

Rowan rolled his eyes. "I guess," he said but didn't believe it. He stared again at the vial she gave him and made a face before finally drinking it. She'd gone through a lot of trouble for it, he was sure.

Raelynn watched him drink it before she smacked his lap and grinned. “Good, I need you to be at your full potential because looking at you was a little gross. You’ll wear your beauty pageant smile in no time.”

"This is a miracle potion then? Because I've never had such a thing," Rowan said and shook his head, too tired to even chuckle. The potion had burned going down and made him even more annoyed with himself. "Now are you going to share that candy or what?"

“Sure you have. You’re just trying to act tough and pretending you don’t know you’re preeettyyy.” She said, laughing a little as she reached out to pinch his cheek. “Not until you give me your pretty little smile.”

He stuck his tongue out at her when she pinched his cheek but didn't fight it. "I don't want to smile. There's still blood in my teeth," he admitted. There wasn't really, but he felt self conscious after he'd just drank. From a bag he tended to be more messy, so then especially.

“So? I’m pretty sure I have candy bits on mine. See?” She said, then flashed him her smile. She didn’t have any, of course, but the thought was what counted.

He gave her an odd look but a genuine smile did break out. It was...relieving not to have someone think his vampireness was...anything. He wasn't even trying to smile but it came anyway.

Raelynn couldn’t help but to grin then, tilting the bag of candy in his direction. “Now that that is over, we’ve got to start planning our revenge.”

"I can't take revenge on him," Rowan said as he took the candy. "Elena will kill me, and she's one person I never want to see angry." He hadn't seen his cousin really angry until today and even then he had a feeling it wasn't the true extent.

“Hey, it’s only a matter of time before he does that shit again. You’ve got to pull it out from the root before the next time, because who knows what would end up happening.” She told him, since she’d seen the video and how neither had been pleased with how things ended. “This time, he took you by surprise. What would have happened if you had been injured already or something? He could have killed you.”

"I'm not going after him," Rowan said seriously. He wanted to, so badly after what Cormac had said about Terra. But....he wouldn't. Though he would tell Terra to stay away from him. He didn't want her to get hurt by this clearly violent and anti-vampire dude.

Raelynn made a face, crossing her arms as she looked around the room. “Fine. But promise you’ll tell me if he does that again. I don’t want to find out your face was smashed down against concrete through a viral video.”

"Fine. Next time I'll let you be there," Rowan said, though he knew that wasn't what she meant. But if it happened again, he didn't think Elena would be able to stop him from...doing something worse. Even if he didn't think he could really permanently injure anyone, he could break some more bones.

“I better be.” She said, smiling again as she bumped her shoulder to his. “You’re looking a lot better now than how I found you.”

"You think so?" He asked. He still felt like crap but....maybe a little better too. He couldn't be sure why, but maybe that nasty potion she'd given him had something to do with it.

“You’ll be winning The bachelor in no time.” She said, chuckling a little as she leaned her head against his shoulder and pulled out her phone. “I do have some feedback regarding your fighting, though.”

He laughed a little but it soon disappeared when she brought up his fighting. "I don't want your pointers. I wasn't in best of form this morning. I know how to fight better than that. I was still hungover from last night," he pointed out.

“Alright, fine. But just know that some of the students in the school are ready to start taking bets on how long it’ll be before round two comes up.” She said, showing him some of the comments on the video.

"Well if round two happens, round three won't even be on the table," Rowan said seriously. He frowned a little as he read the comments, annoyed that he'd ended up in such a popular video. He was going to be so dead when certain people found out.

“Great, so I can bet in your favor.” She said, grinning sheepishly before she started typing on her phone. “At least your reputation with the ladies went up.”

Rowan raised an eyebrow at that, but...he knew he didn't deserve to date again even if Terra seemed to have moved on. "Well that's points, I guess. But that's only because I'm strong."

“We’ve been over this, Rowan.” She said, chuckling a little as she turned her head to look at him. “You’re also very pretty. I mean, there’s a reason why I went out of my way to make sure you recovered.”

"Didn't want me to turn into a gargoyle? Thanks so much," he said and chuckled a little. He didn't want to admit to her that he wasn't ready to date yet because it felt like a lame thing to say. It had been a while now, but he still wasn't ready?

“I’m with you nearly all the time, and your pretty face makes it easier.” She replied jokingly, bumping his shoulder again before she looked back at her phone. “Seriously, though. Half of these girls seem to be very interested in you. Do you have a type?”

He laughed at that but didn't comment. "Um...I'm sure I have a type but I wouldn't be able to tell you," he said honestly. He didn't know it in words but he knew he was more attracted to some types more than others.

“I know you’re into redheads.” She said, then mentally crossed out some of the girls on the comment section. She didn’t know why she was trying to set him up with someone when she was clearly interested, but… well, he needed to get over the other girl.

"True, but I'm not like, opposed to other hair colors. Hair can be dyed," he joked. He didn't know why she was on this but he was sure she was trying to help in her own way. He watched over her shoulder as she scrolled, looking at what people said and the girls that complimented him.

Raelynn scoffed, chuckling a little as she continued scrolling through the profiles. “I’m assuming you’re also into some your own age, so teachers are out of the question.”

"I don't know, the drama teachers pretty cute but she also has a baby so I think that's out," Rowan joked, actually feeling a little better now that his mind was on another topic. "But are teachers really commenting on this?"

“No, but I thought that would be an interesting idea.” She replied, chuckling a little because it wasn’t like Emeliana would comment on anything Rowan related. Not that she disliked him, but he happened to be her best friends baby brother. “Okay, older ladies? Because there a lot of older chicks commenting. But not, like, too old. Maybe twenty or so years older.”

"I also don't want any double relations," he added. He made a face when she said there were older ladies. "Really? I think I'll stick to my age group thank you. No more than five years older please."

“Tough.” She said jokingly before she laughed at what he said next. “Aren’t you, like, a vampire? Age shouldn’t affect you nearly as much as it would affect someone like me.”

"But I'm also super young by vampires standards," he pointed out. "But fine. If it's another immortal being, you can dispose of the age thing. I'll still probably keep it in mind though because I don't want someone super more mature than me.

“But for humans, only a few years older. Got it.” She teased, looking back at her phone. “Well, there is this girl named… Fire? But I’m pretty sure she’s dating my friend so no way. She didn’t comment but she’s the only other red head I know and don’t hate. Well, her and my sister.”

"Oh, yeah. But like I said, hair color really doesn't matter," he said though he knew it really didn't matter in the end. He still wasn't ready to date anyone. "I met your sister, actually. Why haven't you told me about her before?"

“You keep telling yourself that.” She replied, then turned to look at him with an amused smile. “You met Everleigh? And I definitely have talked about her! Much more than you’ve talked about your brothers, anyways.”

"Yeah. She patches me up," he said. "And I don't remember you ever talking about her before. I think I would have remembered that." Or maybe he wouldn't have. He didn't remember a whole lot.

“I have mentioned her.” She insisted, since it wasn’t like she was ashamed of her or anything. “Remember when we first started talking? It was in the hospital. Well, I was there to see her.”
