October's challenge

Sorry for the very late posting Suevians!

October's challenge is to read a book in which the main character identifies as LGBT.

What are you reading, and what books would you recommend to anyone looking for a good read that falls in this category?

I just finished a galley for a great book coming out in January- Dreadnought. Teen lesbian trans superhero fighting supervillains in the PNW - what else do you really want in a book?! A lot of fun.

I also really enjoyed the middle grade book George - sweet story, and you can knock it out in a couple of hours.

I also loved the contemporary YA If I Was Your Girl this year.

I recently started Girl Mans Up and I'm really enjoying it so far!

I also read If I was Your Girl this year, and I liked it. It was very honest and sweet. I also read For Today I Am a Boy which was a very culturally fulfilling read for me as an Asian American, even thought it is about a Chinese Canadian. Some people didn't like the voice of the author, or didn't maybe understand it, but I really thought it was beautiful. It delves deeply into both culture clash and gender identity.
