November is here and the holidays are upon us, so it's time for another monthly reading wrap up!

I went back to look at the books I read this month and surprised myself. I felt like I was barely finding time to read this month and I somehow managed to read 6 books.

I read...

Hate That Cat by Sharon Creech- I really enjoyed this one. It is a sequel to Love That Dog, which I read in college (I was an elementary education major). They are both super cute books of poetry about a boy and his connection with his pets.

Landline by Rainbow Rowell- I listened to this on audiobook. It was interesting to see how the main character dealt with finding an unexpected connection to her past through her landline phone.

Just One Day by Gayle Forman- I liked following Allyson on the journey she took through this book. I would love to travel to some of the places she was able to explore one day.

Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life by Bryan Lee O'Malley- I've always loved the movie adaptation of these Graphic Novels and the books are just as enjoyable!

Serafina and the Black Cloak by Robert Beatty- I listened to this on audiobook. I love the Biltmore House in Asheville and it was the perfect background for the magical adventure Serafina takes in this book! Highly recommend, especially if you've been to the Biltmore before.

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins- There's been a lot of hype surrounding this book and I can see why! I loved how suspenseful it was and that it wasn't east to guess the ending.

As always, post below what you've read this month!

Happy Reading!

Cadi | 48 comments Hey Jessica,

I only managed two books last month. Our Town by Thornton Wilder and Dubliners by James Joyce.

I really liked Our Town. It stayed with me for a few days after I finished it.

The Dubliners wasn't really for me. I don't know if it's a cultural disconnect but I just didn't get the significance of the stories.

On another note, I haven't read The Girl on the Train yet either but it's definitely on my list!

Cadi, I've heard Our Town is excellent! I've always wanted to see it performed. I've been wanting to add some more plays to my reading list too, so I'll have to add Our Town to my TBR for sure!

Thanks so much for sharing!!
