Carrie Mortleman | 8 comments Can anyone suggest ways to get reviews please?
I have seen a number of expensive paid ones, and have attempted to contact some bloggers, but no luck so far.
Thanks!

Rose Collins Never ever pay for ebook reviews!
Its against amazon rules, all paid reviews will be removed and amazon may well ban the title or author from the kindle store.
There's really no need to pay for reviews for either books or ebooks so many people and organisations offer to review free of charge.

Keep on trying, establish contact with more and more book bloggers.
Twitter is a great place to find bloggers for children's books.

The more bloggers you contact the more likely you are to find interested bloggers suitable for your title.
Then be patient and wait for a positive response, most book bloggers blog as a hobby and have full time jobs.
They are constantly asked for reviews by hundreds of authors a day and often have huge piles of titles waiting to be read.

Good luck!

Ben Jackson | 9 comments You can pay for editorial reviews. You just have to post them into the editorial section of author central. Readers choose offers a free book review as well as paid. Keep persisting with book blogs, it takes a lot of time!

Kathryn Harrison | 3 comments Hello folks,
Carrie - I had some success getting reviews from a Review Group here on Goodreads. It is moderated group where you are given 4 books to review by 4 different authors and then 4 different authors are given your book to review. It abides by Amazon rules. I'm about to join another session again. The only drawback is you sometimes have to review a full length adult novel in exchange for a review on your quick read children's book.

But it was definitely helpful. Best of luck!

Carrie Mortleman | 8 comments oh amazing thanks so much for sharing this info. Do you have a link for the group by any chance?
Thanks again

Kathryn Harrison | 3 comments Here is the link to the group... you'll see there are lots of different ones to join and new ones are forming all the time.

I just noticed I missed a children's book one but maybe another children's book themed one will form soon as both you and I are interested.

Best to you, Kathryn

Carrie Mortleman | 8 comments Amazing thanks a lot - yes I saw a kids book one just closed! Of all the luck.
Also found this amazing resource in a thread if it helps anyone else: https://bookreviewdirectory.com/ficti...

Penny Cline (pennycline) | 78 comments Thanks Carrie, there are some promising links on that thread.

Here's another site - this one lists book bloggers from the UK - but do look at their review policies before getting in touch with them - quite a few won't consider indie publishers.
