The Wrong Side of Goodbye by Michael Connelly - 4 stars

I love Harry Bosch, and Connelly never disappoints. This time, Harry is not investigating a murder but as a private investigator is hired to find a rich man's possible heir. At the same time, in his capacity as a volunteer detective for the small San Fernando Police Department, he is trying to find a serial rapist before he strikes again.

The parallel story lines are deftly handled, and we are also given another glimpse into Bosch's military past. Mickey Haller is also brought into the story when Bosch needs his expertise, and it's great to have the half-brothers, both strong protagonists, do cameos in each other's series. It all culminates in a suspenseful and exciting showdown with the villain.

This series is going strong and the TV show does an excellent job of bringing Harry to life. I hope they use this story in the show somewhere down the line!

Love the books and love the series. They are just wrapping Season 3 and have been renewed for Season 4 already.
