The Kindle version is on sale for $1.99. Has anyone read the eBook? I am worried about pictures not showing up properly etc. The preview on GR's is cut off and I get a message that says to enlarge the window which I can't.
Nancy, I have it on my kindle app on my iPad. I haven't read it yet, but I scanned through a little and can see the pictures just fine. I think it depends on the ereader you use. If it's a paperwhite or any black and white ereader then you probably won't be able to see pictures. An iPad, kindle fire or something like that should show the pictures just fine.
Nancy, I read the ebook. It was still really cool in that format, although I did flip through the hardback at the library and it was pretty awesome. I think if you're able to get your hands on a physical copy, that's the way to go, but the ebook is still a really enjoyable experience if that is easier for you to get (as it was for me). Either way, ENJOY!!!
The new one -- Gemina -- is even better.I read the first on a Kindle. It wasn't great, but I could read it without huge problems.
The second one was next to impossible on a Kindle, but I was able to read it on my full-sized iPad all right. Probably would have been easier in a book.
Very innovative story telling technique. Well worth it.
So when I read this, the voice I imagined for Aiden was James Spader (Ultron) from Avengers 2, something about the cadence and rhythm of his voice just worked...... :)
I just bought the $1.99 ebook last week so I'll see how it is compared to the book, which I also have, and let you know Nancy. :)
Thanks everyone!I use my iPad. I did send a preview from Amazon to myself and the preview looked ok but you know it isn't very many pages to get a good idea. LOL
I haven't check the library.
Library has an actual book and eBook. The Overdrive sample had some issues. Some pages had overlapping text. Not sure if it was because the sample went to the browser and not the Overdrive app.
Nancy, I just downloaded my ebook on my Nook app on my iPhone and it looks fine! Obviously the book is a better experience, but it looks like the same pages in the ebook. :)
Thanks again. Now I need to decide if I should go to the library and save a whole $1.99 or just buy the eBook. LOLOLOL
Oh, and my book is even signed thanks to BookCon! Jen stood in that line for me while I was probably in line somewhere else with you, Nancy. Ha!

I think I read it just as fast! The story was really good, but the format of the book was so fascinating to me. I never knew what I was going to get each time I flipped the page.

It took me several attempts to actually get into this book, but when I did, I eventually started enjoying my reading experince. I prefer her other trilogy, The Starbound Trilogy, but I find that trilogy is a lot more centered on the relationships of the protagonists. (view spoiler)

This format, while interesting, did not work for me. I didn't feel like I connected with the Characters at all. Glad to see that you guys enjoyed it though.
CRYSTAL: I think the format is a hit or miss for people. It took me awhile to get used to it. I heard the audio is good, maybe you can try it out

I am only on page 172. The format is interesting. It does make it feel choppy and the flow is awkward. I can't keep track of the dates and times so good thing those little notes with the paper clips mentioned a time delay between two IM's, LOLI like the little extras like the casualty list and then the pictures (view spoiler)
