The 100 series by Kass Morgan - Restarting November 10th 2018
hey, I'm starting now because I'm in Australia so it's already the 11th and I'm really busy tomorrow. I've already read the first one but it was a few years ago so I'm excited to reread so I can continue the series!
I rated it the same as last time I read it, I was kind of expecting to have a different view of it but apparently in my mind it is a solid 3 star book. I have a few issues with it that I kinda talked about in my review but I'm hoping that in the next books some of them will improve. I kind of wish that the flashbacks had been published as a 0.5 instead though and been fully fleshed out stories. both because they lacked that depth and also combined with the constantly changing point of view it really stopped me from getting a flow with the book
Sorry Lena, I had exams but I will finish the book by today and I will probably start the second book today as well.
That's fine! I hope your exams went well and i hope you enjoy it. Let me know when you start the second and I'll start too!

great! I'm excited to get to it, I'm hoping we get deeper into the story now that the characters and all their pasts have been established
I'm taking a bit longer with this because I'm moving house in a few days but so far I'm liking how the story is progressing. I find the writing a bit much at times, the end of each chapter is always done so dramatically even if we already know the information. Like at the end of chapter 6 it's phrased as if we didn't yet know about Clarke and Lilly from the past book and what had been mentioned already in that chapter.
aah I just can't get through this I think I'm going to have to take a break with it and try again next year

I just bought The 100 by Kass Morgan, I'll start reading it tonight I think! I've heard mixed reviews about it.
I'm keen to see what they put in the show from the book and what they made up. It's actually the first impulse read I've done in a while haha. I only decided on the spot to read this, and I never do that. I always plan my buddy reads.
I feel that way too, Maddison! Besides the already obvious change, that is :) I'm trying to get back into buddy reads since I have had to take a break with them. I'm hoping they go well this year.
finished :) I'll post updates and stiff when I get home in a week and a bit. well I'll post my thoughts xD I can't post updates because idk where abouts in the book it was.
it seemed really short though xD not much seemed to happen because of all of the different perspectives. I want to read the next one.

Just finished as well. I think because I fell in love with the TV show, I'm more into them than the book. I did appreciate the differences though, and I do wish that they incorporated Glass and Thalia in the show, but I think I would have been really bummed to not get enough of Thalia to enjoy. Also, I'm glad that we get to know more about Wells in this book, so I'm glad about that.
yay you've started! when were you thinking for the second one? I like how you said you were reading it straight away a week ago.

Ever since a devastating nuclear war, humanity has lived on spaceships far above Earth's radioactive surface. Now, one hundred juvenile delinquents -- considered expendable by society -- are being sent on a dangerous mission: to recolonize the planet. It could be their second chance at life...or it could be a suicide mission.
CLARKE was arrested for treason, though she's haunted by the memory of what she really did. WELLS, the chancellor's son, came to Earth for the girl he loves -- but will she ever forgive him? Reckless BELLAMY fought his way onto the transport pod to protect his sister, the other half of the only pair of siblings in the universe. And GLASS managed to escape back onto the ship, only to find that life there is just as dangerous as she feared it would be on Earth.
Confronted with a savage land and haunted by secrets from their pasts, the hundred must fight to survive. They were never meant to be heroes, but they may be mankind's last hope.
