Here are some questions to get our discussion started. Like last month, feel free to answer these, or post your own questions! Let us know what you think of the book overall, too.

1. Which of the company success stories were the most surprising to you? Why?

2. In the book, the team doing the research named the steps that took place during the "Good to Great" transitions. (Level 5 Leadership, First Who…Then What, Confront the Brutal Facts, The Hedgehog Concept, A Culture of Discipline, Technology Accelerators, and The Flywheel and the Doom Loop). Which of these do you think is the most vital to the success of a company? Do you think a successful company must have all of the factors?

3. How can you tell if someone is the right person for the bus? How can you tell if they are the right person, but in the wrong seat?
For yourself: How can you tell if you're on the right bus, in the right seat?

4. Regarding the Stockdale Paradox: which half is the most challenging for you, "Unwavering Faith" or "Facing the Brutal Facts?" Explain.

5. What criteria does your organization use for deciding whether to introduce a technology into its environment?

6. How will you know when to keep pushing the flywheel, and when you should change directions?
