Wohlsdorf, Gina (Algonquin Books)

I just described this book to my co-worker as a “graphically violent, hack-‘em-up, psycho-killer thriller.” And she was like, “That! Can you write exactly that on a shelf talker?” And so I have. Listen, I have my guilty pleasures. And no two ways about it, I had a ton of fun with this blood bath. It owes a healthy debt to Christie’s And Then There Were None. And while it’s not a masterpiece on that level, there were some really well done surprises and revelations along the way. Wohlsdorf keeps the story moving along at a clip. Is it morally edifying? No. Will it raise your cultural IQ? No. Will it entertain you? Yes!--Susan

That's a perfect explanation. This book was gory but like you said a lot of fun.
