STOP! This is not your average book! It’s written by a book designer of surpassing creativity. The plot involves two intertwined stories, one set in 1843 and the other taking place 300 years later in 2143, after the collapse of American civilization. There are many weird connections between these two tales, and this is the perfect read for fans of the television show “Lost.” But there is so much more to this reading experience than mere blocks of text! There’s a sealed envelope (found still sealed between pages 442 & 443), fold out maps, the pages of a novel within a novel, illustrations of all types and stripes, newspaper articles, photographs, a reverse cover in mirror print, clues abounding, and even a ribbon bookmark sewn in! Very rarely have I ever had this much fun while reading a book! Please flip through the pages.—Susan
