After hanging around home for October, we're going to travel far and wide for November - albeit from our armchairs!

Rules:

#1. You need to complete three of the five categories listed below to finish this challenge. One read one book for each category.
#2. List (and LINK) all the books you plan to read for the challenge.
#3. Upon completion of a book, rate it and update your progress.
#4. Minimum of 125 pages per book - full guidelines HERE
#5. At least one Australian Author.

The Categories:

1). Geographical Setting
: Read a book set in a different country than your own.

2). Travel to a Different Genre: Read a book from a genre you haven't explored before/for a long time.

3). Cover Hunt: Read a book with a picture of a mode of transport on the cover.

4). Title: Read a book with a PLACE NAME in the title, such as the name of a country, state, city, town, etc. Titles with words like ‘woods’, ‘beach’, ‘mountain’, ‘river’, ‘garden’, ‘park’, etc, in the title would count as places too.

5).Reader’s Choice: Read any book of your choice.

Settle back, relax and travel to your heart's content!

Vickie (vickievickie) | 76 comments Oh I love the theme! I don't know if this was already planned before we had the conversation in last month's challenge thread, but I'm greatly amused!

I have a cheeky question. Would you consider "legs" to be a mode of transport?

Denise | 22 comments Reading update 04/11/2016: 4/5 read

#1. Different Country: I will check my TBR pile(s) for this one; so, this will be The Muse I LOVED the Miniaturist, so I can't wait to read this;

#2. Different Genre: 300 Minutes of Danger - I don't tend to read action / adventure, so this is a departure for me;

#3. Cover Hunt. Come back to this one! Haha, I've been doing a - well, what do you call it when you read the latest book by someone, and then go and read all of the earlier ones? Anyway, I read Melina Marchetta's latest and immediately had to read her previous books, including The Piper's Son which, amongst other modes of transport on the front cover, has a Kombi van;

#4. Book with place name in the title: The High Mountains of PortugalI bought this in Lisbon at Bertrand's ♥ but haven't read it yet;

#5. My choice: Everywhere I Look a friend has raved about this collection of essays and has loaned it to me. I don't like to keep personally loaned books too long so I shall read it quickly (unlike the books that I informally 'borrow' from my library. Sometimes boys will be looking for a book and I have to confess that it's beside my bed, or next to the sofa!).

Karen (winterscomin) | 125 comments Funnily enough I am actually going overseas in mid-November, so not all my travel will be from the armchair!
Accordingly, I think I'll only choose 3 books to start off with because I doubt I'll get much time on my trip (except perhaps on the plane on the way over).

1. Geographical Setting: The Sword of Shannara - Terry Brooks
(Fictional settings totally count, right?)
2. Travel to a Different Genre:
3. Cover Hunt: Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card
(I couldn't easily find a pic of the version I picked up, but it has a space ship on the front)
4. Title:
5.Reader’s Choice:
Gemina - Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff (AA)
