Everybody Lies

You have a terrible rash.... well everywhere. It's itchy and scratchy and is stopping you from your love of murdering small fuzzy smelly sewer rats. You've been to Dr. Trowel over in Papeville and Dr. Winchester over in Novelette and even visited the local healing mage Mr. Smile. None of them were able to help. At your wits end you go over to The Academy Teaching Hospital to visit Dr. Cottage the best diagnostician in the region.

Dr. Cottage comes to the door, sneers at you and lets you in. You fumble with your hat then step inside.

"Ummm... Dr. Cottage.... I was told you would be able to help me with my rash. I haven't done anything to cause it!"

Dr. Cottage tells you to sit then storms out of the room. You look over to a whiteboard in the room with the words "signa, causae, curae" scribbled across the top.

Awhile later a young lady comes out and says "Hello, my name is Twelve... I mean Miriam. We think you have too much blood in your body. We're going to suck some out with leeches."

I think you are fine so far. Just check your battles (last one?). Your health and everything should stay the same if my math is right with rock. I think if you went to next pebble then you'd have extra hit with lower weapon.

After hard day hunt, you enter into the Tavern looking forward to some cool ale and maybe some nice stew you know that's simmering in the back. After all it was you who brought rat meat for it. You're sitting at your table, drinking ale and thinking about quests that are waiting for you tomorrow, when you hear sniffle behind you. You turn around trying to find where the sound came from, but only Lady Kelly is sitting in that direction. You're little scared to approach her, after all she's the Master here, but your kind heart can't say no to damsel in distress. As you start approaching Kelly, you hear her muttering "They are gone. They are all gone. What am I supposed to do now?!" and she starts crying again. You sit beside her, offer her your not so clean handkerchief and ask her what's wrong. Through tears you find out that someone broke into her room and stole all her future quests.
"All future quests?! But how's that possible? There are no thieves in Novel Kingdom! I'll help you Lady Kelly. Don't worry, you'll have your quests back!?" you yell and storm out of Tavern to find a thief.

The local theatre offers an open practice session to allow Novelarians the chance to see free performances and the actors the chance to practice in front of a live audience. You saunter in to get out of the sweltering heat outside and start to eat your giant turkey leg and side of tomato. Lady Rachel is up on the stage facing a grubby little trained pet goblin when she trips over her skirt and falls backwards. The director yells at her, "You're supposed to kill the goblin! Not the other way around!" Both Lady Rachel and the goblin stare at the director. Seeing the opportunity to help, you jump up (spilling your turkey leg and tomato onto the floor) and announce that you know how to make a great goblin sword that can easily pretend to smite a pet goblin. Running out of the room you go and search for the materials.

Lady Dani and you walk down the lane. Every now and then she stops and picks pretty stone for her collection. After a while you see old man coming towards you. "Hello there strangers! Oh, what pretty stones you have there my lady. I have something that will make your collection even prettier" and he pulls from beneath his cloak smallish stone with gold flecks on it. You are all excited (because it's gold!) but Lady Dani knows her stones and asks to look it closer (because everyone knows that those gold flecks are probably pyrite). She examines it closely and is pretty sure it is real gold. "Where did you find this stone?" "Not far from here. There is abandoned gold mine not many knows about. I could give you map for small price - all your pretty stones." Lady Dani doesn't really want to give her stones, but opportunity to find more gold is huge. She agrees and gives her stones to old man and gets map for them. Two of you follow directions on the map and soon come to big hole in the ground. Since Lady Dani is expert here, you agree that she should go down and explore while you keep guard. Lady Dani goes in and starts going down the many halls. Left. Right. Left. Right... Until she comes to the main chamber and sees gold vein in the wall. Lady Dani is very happy and turns around to go to you and share her news, but then she finds out that she's actually lost.

To help Lady Dani to find her way out of the gold mine, use this map and Lady Dani will gladly pay you 10 gold when she gets out.

You bravely step forward when the Queen asks for volunteers and proclaim in a loud voice that you are the best horse rider and alka stabber in all of Novel Kingdom. The Queen quickly agrees with you and sends you off to represent the Kingdom.
