We don't want you to steal cats (not even books, really), just to take home the exhibit from the Museum of Science Fiction. We'll explain! Plus, you must cast your vote for the classic or the new! Will you vote against Veronica?

Also, brand new Patreon levels!

Louie (rmutt1914) | 878 comments Veronica, you were thinking of Andy Weir writing fanfic of Ready Player One, which then became canon. As mentioned in Ep #249, by yours truly.

Haha, thank you Louie!

message 5: by Thane (new)

Thane | 476 comments George Guidall also reads the Longmire mystery series. He's fantastic!

message 6: by Stephen (new)

Stephen Richter (stephenofllongbeach) | 1318 comments Guidall just sounds like someone who is telling you a tale. The Golem and the Jinni has a Neil Gaiman vibe to it.

AndrewP (andrewca) | 2451 comments I'm one of the ones who disagrees about the narration. If I hadn't got this one via Overdrive from the library it would be a definite 'return to Audible' for a refund. And for some weird reason it sounds even worse when played at an accelerated rate.

terpkristin | 4120 comments Interesting POVs on the narration. I disliked Guidall's narration of the two Dark Tower books I listened to (but in fairness, I also disliked the books). But it's allowing me to listen to the book much more quickly than I was getting through it reading the Kindle edition.

I just got to a point that the plot may start picking up a bit...

I'm also looking forward to hearing what the next pick is. :)

Dara (cmdrdara) | 2693 comments Finally catching up with podcasts (it's been a busy 3 months) and my name is pronounced like Car-ah. Rhymes with Mara as in Mara Wilson. Or Laura like Laura Baily :-)
