Anyone Have Any Suggestions On Space Colony Books Worth Reading?

Currently looking for a good Sci-Fi book on Space colonization. Whether it be traveling from earth and setting up a colony on a foreign world, or battling another race for resources and survival. Not sure if anyone who comments has read any of the Starcraft series but I enjoyed reading about the hardships the Terrans (Earthlings) had to endure setting up various outpost colonies for resources while dealing with the other hostile races. If anyone has any suggestions or can point me in the right direction on some possible reads it would be greatly appreciated.

StarCraft novel Shadow of the Xel'Naga has a backwater Terran town POV perspective in part of the book. It has four POVs. It's ok. I didnt like it as much as Liberty's Crusade.
