A young girl or late teen (unsure) is study under this guy, the guy goes to the local morgue to talk to the head coroner. A boy is under the coroner's apprenticeship. The girl goes downstairs to talk to the boy while the adults talk upstairs. Talks to the boy while he works on a body, they have a bit of an argument and he a punches the body and it lurches up and makes noise. The girl understandably freaks out, the boy laughs and tells her it was just leftover gas. I think she runs away upstairs and ignores him, making him be like it was just a joke, get over it. The setting i think is a steampunk london, and may involve ravens, and the title may involve apprentice or something.

Kacy, does the book contain a few illustrations like Steampunk: Poe by Edgar Allan Poe? "Look Inside" preview - https://www.amazon.com/Steampunk-Poe-...

Can you describe any fantasy/paranormal elements?
